Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 2101 West Howard Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Laquitha gave such phenomenal service, she did not stop until we found the correct unit and within our price range. She was so patient, even took a payment from another customer all while still serving us....you guys need more like her just awesome ... Read more

Terrible experience from start to finish. We informed them weeks in advance via live chat that we would be moving out. We then vacated and cleaned the unit on Jan 29, 2026. There was no staff on-site at the facility, so we again used live chat, and customer service confirmed closure. Despite all that, they kept adding charges/late fees and sending payment demands. No proper direct email support, no reliable follow-through, and customers are left chasing billing errors for a unit already vacated. Very disappointing and stressful. ... Read more

This facility is clean and well maintained. The agent on duty is pleasant and professional. My only critique is that they do not have enough rolling carts and the ones that are there are too small. Most people needing storage have large pieces. Rendering their carts useless. ... Read more

I had a smooth experience at this Public Storage location. The facility was clean, secure, and easy to access. Staff were helpful when needed, and move-out was straightforward with no issues. Overall, a convenient and reliable storage option that met my needs. ... Read more

I rented a space at the beginning of June and they just informed me that my rent will be going up by 43% as of Oct 1. So you get a few months to get yourself moved and settled in and then they throw a huge increase at you. I'm out of town for the next 6 weeks but even once I'm back, it will be a huge job to move everything out to another place at this point, so I'll probably just swallow the increase for now, but others should be aware. This issue aside, I have no complaints about the place—the staff are helpful, and the place is clean. ... Read more

I have two separate units here (business and personal) and it is SO easy to load in and out. Special shout out to SHANDA! Thank you for helping me find my new space today, and thank you even more for saving my TV!!! ... Read more

I had an outstanding experience at the Public Storage on Howard today, thanks to Rebecca. From the moment she opened the door, she was incredibly attentive and professional. She immediately asked the right questions, gave me all the key information I needed, and was proactive in helping me find the right unit. I wasn’t ready to commit at first, but she still took the time to walk me through multiple options without any pressure. Her attention to detail, clear communication, and amazing customer service truly made all the difference. In the end, I chose the unit and honestly, I chose it because of her. Rebecca is exceptional! ... Read more

This place is absolute garbage. I don’t recommend you rent a unit. My husband and I rented a unit here because it is convieniently close to our home and this was a mistake. The elevators are always broken, the property manager is incredibly rude and gives you wrong information. There are broken windows throughout the building. Don’t throw your money away. ... Read more

Was looking for a more budget friendly storage option for business equipment. This facility fit the budget and location. We did experience some bumps in finding the right fit in an aging building, but staff Laquitha and Shonda were incredibly helpful and found the right fit at the right price. ... Read more

I left furniture and boxes here for 6 months. The storage unit was clean and fairly standard. The move out experience, however, was the reason for my 2-star review. When I came in mid-December to empty my unit I found no carts. I’m not sure why there were no carts, but a woman unaffiliated with Public Storage told me she thinks they were stolen. In addition, neither elevator worked. I had to carry all of my belongings up a flight of stairs to move which made it take 3x as long. Full disclose: I was there on a Sunday, so perhaps that was the reason for the lack of carts? Even so, management should have let me know that beforehand as I used the online portal to request a Sunday move out. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 2101 West Howard Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 2101 West Howard Street start from $26 and can go up to $454 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
