Read some helpful reviews of East Bank Storage at 730 West Lake Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

"For approximately 18 years, East Bank Storage has been my go-to storage solution, and I can't imagine going anywhere else. We live in the Streeterville area approximately 2 miles away. The convenient location, good hours and well-maintained facility are excellent, but it's Linda, the manager, who makes all the difference. She's been a constant presence throughout my time here, consistently providing top-notch customer service. Linda's friendly and helpful disposition has made every interaction a breeze, from initial setup to expanding to multiple lockers. Her professionalism and genuine care for her customers are truly remarkable. If you're looking for a storage facility with exceptional service, look no further than East Bank Storage and the wonderful Linda!" ... Read more

I have used East Bank Storage twice: once for an extended period and recently for a brief period. East Bank is clean, dry, free of bugs, and safe when you visit your locker. There has never been any mold or mildew on my belongings. The staff gives good customer service, especially Linda. She assesses what you need and can come up with a locker that is just the right size and within your budget. I would recommend East Bank to anyone. ... Read more

East Bank storage on Lake Street is climate-controlled and the staff is wonderfully helpful never had a problem in over 20 years. After having family with several storage spaces in other buildings I appreciate the security of knowing there is always somebody at East Bank storage and the doors are secured . No one can enter or exit during off hours and the staff is so knowledgeable that they recognize us and pull our key before we even ask for it. Personal service and security are main priorities in my family and I probably will never change from East Bank storage on Halsted & Lake .( Unless I move). ... Read more

I tried several storage facilities over 10 years. East bank storage is the one I ended up giving all my business to. 10 years of wonderful experience, personal customer service, friendly staff. I feel like a family with them. They never raised my rent unexpectedly, probably only 4 times, I can call them and ask if they can bring something down for me. Like I say customer service goes long way. Any other facilities I tried, like Storage box, were lacking customer service, raising prices unexpectedly several times throughout the year basically gearing toward short term customers and showing complete indifference to their clients. So East Bank Storage is my kind of place! Love them! ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 224 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by East Bank Storage - 730 West Lake Street start from $59 and can go up to $299 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
