Read some helpful reviews of Storage Rentals of America at 399 Main Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Intially they set monthly rate very low to sell you on signing with them they do not give you any notice until days before the next payment cycle arrives so you are stuck paying the new rate. When you call to ask why they have moved the monthly price up they dodge calls and don’t give you an answer. They have increased the payment rate twice in the 7 months I’ve been with them with little notice on the increase. Apart from that they have charged me twice in one month with no options given to me other than a credit moved forward to the next month. DO NOT RENT A STORAGE UNIT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT RANDOM PRICE HIKES!! ... Read more

Awful transition from the previous company to SROA. They gave us short notice that ownership was transferring. Upon learning this, we logged in online and paid and then set up autopay. Now, this month I keep getting texts to pay so I log in and see the payment didn’t go through. But the system shows autopay as on. As a national company, it’s surprising to see the automated system is this bad. Updated review as of 9-30-24: I have now signed up for autopay twice. Their system shows that I’m enrolled but every time payment comes due I have to go in and manually pay again. Very bad experience and I will be looking for another facility. Updated review as of 3-10-25: I just realized that starting in December, SROA started charging me $40 more per month. I don’t have any emails on this rate change. I now pay a total of $186/month for a 5x15 unit! This isn’t climate controlled or anything. ... Read more

So far pretty unhappy with SROA. They abruptly took over and required us to change our autopay information. They are also saying they have no record of an account and they are trying to charge a $10 fee for me to pay for the units when their link doesn't work. ... Read more

So far pretty unhappy with SROA. They abruptly took over and required us to change our autopay information and choose rental insurance. Prices have also gone up. The hours to enter our unit are now limited as well. Seems like we should have had more notice that this changeover was occurring. ... Read more

No manager on site, you do it all online yourself which was easy. The units were dirty and unswept with cobwebs everywhere. I accidentally moved into the wrong unit #, I realized my mistake within 2 weeks and called to correct it, same exact unit size just a different row. Unfortunately for me I encountered a very rude rep named Ann Marie on the phone. I explained my mistake, she said I’d have to move my items over to the original unit (which I can’t do I had had a moving truck) I was a Field Area Supervisor of storage and uhaul for 8 years, I let her know just to transfer me over in the system it’s the same sized unit. She then told me the price has increased from $86 to $106 in the 2 weeks I had been there so my rates would go up doing that. She was so rude I asked for a supervisor, she said one would call me in 24 hours but would not give me a name. I’m then asked for Corporates #, she told me to “google it” she did not have it. Once I asked for the DM or GM’s info, she put me on hold for 10 minutes and finally came back on and said as a “courtesy” she kept me in the same unit I moved into and same rate. 18 MINUTE phone call that should have taken 2. So rude. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Rentals of America - 399 Main Street include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Rentals of America - 399 Main Street start from $43 and can go up to $129 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
