First Street Storage is undoubtedly THE best storage facility in the Idaho Falls/Ammon area. The place is kept clean and looks so well taken care of. Marco is the absolute best. Where do I begin?! This place is amazing! Of all the places to go in Ammon and Idaho Falls, First Street is where you want to go! And honestly, I would probably choose this place to keep my things at even if I had to live an hour from here. They are quick, responsive, honest, genuine, and just really great people. You never have to worry! You won’t find a better storage unit with better employees than here. Marco is also really wonderful! ... Read more

Had to move out of my place last second, and needed help with a place to store our stuff so we could move into our new house. This place has great customer service, and very organized. The communication was understandable and I didn't feel like a ghost in the room. A great place others should consider here as a trust worthy source and location to store their belongings. ... I have had a great experience renting a 10x10 here for over a year. The online auto-payment option has been great for me so I never miss a payment. I travel frequently for work, and each time I have been back to access my unit, everything is clean and feels safe. Management is very responsive to needs by email or phone and goes out of their way to help you if they can. They helped me arrange to have a storage/moving box delivered and even offered to be present for the cube delivery. 10/10 recommend First Street! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at First Street Storage - 2604 East 1st Street include the following amenities: Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 512 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by First Street Storage - 2604 East 1st Street start from $40 and can go up to $225 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
