I had a 10 x 20 storage unit at this facility for just over 5 years. I never had any issues and the unit was always accessible even after a good snow. I know for a while they had a younger manager living on site and she was not the greatest; however, the couple that managed it 10 years ago are back and everything runs smoothly. They have fixed the gates and installed a new entry/exit system. If you're in need of a storage facility this is a great place to go! ... Read more

We have been renting at AAA for over 13 years but since the last owners it has gone down hill. First they did not give back my full refund and the prices are outrageous when you realize they have a huge bug problem and mice problem. They are bad about keeping it clean and they never fix the doors or ropes when they should! I also rented there back in the early 90’s when the roads were just dirt. It was a much better place when the people running it actually cared! ... Read more

Service here has been great. It appears to be a family that lives on site that runs the office. They can be reached fairly easily and I have had no problems working with them. They've been more than forgiving on the occasional day or so late payment situation. The only thing I'd consider when getting a unit here is the gate setup. The front gate is more difficult than other places I've used because of it's location and setup. But it looks like there is a part of the fence that can be pulled away to accommodate large trucks or other needs if it's necessary. I can't 100 percent accurately comment on that cause i've never used it. Otherwise, great storage unit, with very good prices. It's the first one I looked at and have no regrets in regards to shopping around for a unit. Thanks AAA, keep it up. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at AAA Mini Storage - 6136 North Government Way include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and Credit Cards Accepted. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
