Great movers, poor experience. My daughter had breakables in a box that seemed just thrown in the truck. An office desk was damaged beyond repair and they lost some parts rendering my entertainment center worthless. Then their claims process was a joke. Really? I have to print a pdf, fill it out, and send back? I don’t have a printer. An email/fillable form isn’t available? Pretty convenient. Very good individuals doing the lifting, probably underpaid. But I expect better for $2000+. ... Read more

We have moved many times in our lives, some local and some across the country. Peasley was by far the worst movers we have ever experienced. During construction of our home, we had Peasley move and store most of our household goods and furniture. The original packing and moving crew had a foreman that was outright rude and condescending. We came close to kicking him out of the house. There were several pieces of furniture that were brand new, and we asked them to take great care. That didn't happen. When the items were delivered, they were damaged. The cause of the damage was clearly poor handling of the items. We have a wood recliner that has survived about 6 moves without a scratch. Peasley damaged that. Many items that were packed were broken. The fabric on our sectional living room couches had greasy marks on each of the sections. In all, we had several thousands of dollars of furniture either soiled or damaged beyond repair. For this, we received $383.00 on our claim. We had place several items in an area with instructions that they not be taken. While we were not watching over everything, those items were taken and put in storage. It took two weeks to get some of it back. We had to purchase luggage because we needed it right away. This was the worst moving experience we have every had. I would not recommend them to anyone. ... So my wife and I didn't end up using Peasley for our out of state move by they are still getting five stars from us. Peasley is really good for long haul moves, say half way across the country, but we were only moving one state away, which just isn't what they specialize in. I think it was Scott who came out to do our estimate and he was very friendly and professional. He also wore a mask the entire time which we appreciated. Scott was incredibly honest and fair, basically telling us that if we went with Peasley that the price was going to be fairly absurd for our type of move. He even went so far as to recommend another moving business in the area that specialized in the type of move we were looking for. We appreciated his forthrightness where as I feel most companies would have tried to convince us to go with their services regardless. Furthermore, we ended up going with his recommended moving company and had an 10/10 experience. Thanks Scott for being honest and upfront. Sorry we weren't able to utilize your services! ... Charged 60% more than the estimate, scratched most of our furniture, rude, and a truly horrible experience. The moving crew didn't even show up with pads or anything to protect our furniture,. Our "coordinator" never returned calls unless I called the previous owners to prompt her, then she left the country on vacation the week of our move without giving us anyone else to call or even telling us she'd be unavailable. The date she had used on their bid had suddenly "never been available" and by then it was too late to arrange for a more competent company. They dropped several items and the crew said they were filing a damage report for the things they broke but didn't, and they were just a disaster. The previous owners of the company called twice to apologize for the rudeness of the new ownership/management, but it's still the worst experience with a company we've ever had. ... Read more

We were extremely pleased with all aspects of our recent move from Idaho to Arizona. From the day that Paul Buckles sat down with us and went over the inventory and cost data, we were very happy. The packers were fantastic as nothing was even damaged during the shipment. The guys who came and move everything from the house into the truck were all great. Everyone at the Idaho end were on time and got their jobs done quickly. Peasley Transfer was very good keeping in touch with us to let us know the status of the shipment and when to expect it. The crew that offload in Arizona were great! Arrived early, got the job done, and were extremely polite and friendly. Hopefully, this will be our last move! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Peasley Transfer Storage - 111 North Curtis Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Gate and Credit Cards Accepted. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
