The corporate people have been incredibly helpful. The local managers have been a different story. After purchasing a unit through the corporate line, we were guaranteed our first full month to be free with a price lock of three months. The first month went well but after that we noticed patterns of blatant overcharging. Somehow, the first free month was overlooked even when it was spelled out in black and white in the contract and in the account notes. They also added onto the third month, without any consent or even an email, a protection plan that was not necessary. Ultimately it’s a storage unit and they do store your things well but, keep an eye on your monthly statements and be persistent about contacting management because they are nearly impossible to get ahold of. ... Was told we could move in on the same day but code didn’t work until the next day. Don’t pay extra for a preferred unit if buying online, it’s a scam to get you to pay more. Local manager was supportive but overall I’m not thrilled by the storagemart system. ... Read more

The process of renting a unit went very smoothly. Your rental agent, Torrence, was very helpful and courteous. The property appears to be well taken care of. My only complaint was that there was a discrepancy in the pricing between your properties. There was a difference of about $40 per month between your Clive and WDM locations. The WDM location would be more convenient for me, but a $400 difference in cost was prohibitive. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at StorageMart - 2155 NW 94th Street include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 800 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
