They raised my rate 50% without notifying me. They also charge a $12 protection plan.. not sure what that actually is. They don't email you back. I already have my own renters insurance, apparently thats not good enough. ... Read more

I rented there for 5 years & was very happy before this new company from Chicago bought it, they lied & said they wouldn’t raise the rent yet within less than a year it went from 47.00 a month to 76.00, I was only renting a 5’x10’ I moved out as soon as I got the 2nd price increase. Definitely wouldn’t recommend trusting them. ... Read more

This company is so money hungry. They bought out the previous private owner it's now a corporate company. Made me get renter's insurance to charge me extra. Then they took my card information an signed me up for auto pay without my consent so when they charged it made my account go negative. And the final nail is that they have decided to raise my rent from 156 to 240 a month. This place is a joke don't rent from here. ... Read more

Beware of mice entering the climate controlled units. Most of my items stored inside were ruined by rodents. Don't get their insurance(safeLease) because they will not pay for damages done to your unit. And StorSafe will not reimburse you for damages either. I do not recommend this storage unit. I have $1,000 worth of damage and neither the insurance or storage will reimburse. ... Read more

Super nice people and a good value. BUT the drainage is horrible. After a day of rain there was a large pool of standing water at least an inch deep. They know about the problem because there are signs posted warning of water and ice. It makes me wonder what water gets into the units. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at StorSafe - 1220 SW 34th Ave Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by StorSafe - 1220 SW 34th Ave Avenue start from $55 and can go up to $623 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
