No. Just, no. The old lady that runs this place doesn’t care about the rules, or your concerns. My unit was locked and almost auctioned off since she wrote my credit card number down wrong. Even though I showed her the physical credit card with the correct numbers, I was still charged for her mess up. Then when I called customer service, they were incredibly rude to me, so I closed my unit and moved locations. I was here for almost 10 years and have NEVER had a good experience with dealing with this place. And don’t think about even throwing away a piece of cardboard in the dumpster. She’ll call you to take it out, and will make threats until you do so. Until the old, crotchety warden is gone, I wouldn’t suggest this place unless you want to ruin your day. ... Read more

I appreciate the customer service and support Miss Linda offers you as if you are THE only one in the room. She is extremely nice and helpful. She goes above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience storing your items. I wanted to use a local company that is reliable, clean, and does not try to price gouge people like some other local storage companies around town. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Continental Self Storage - 639 East Park Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate and Parking. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
