Mr. MIHILA called me to inquire if my move-in was satisfactory.....it just so happened that I was on the premises when I received the call.... I was very concerned about the amount of spiders I was seeing.......Mihila showed up in three minutes to personally sweep the unit and use a leaf blower to remove all the cobwebs and debris. VIP service! ... Read more

Let me start with Andi and Tiara are absolutely amazing! They are rockstars for Public Storage BUT they are not responsible for this property. This is a virtually managed property and this is a pain! Three different times I’ve spent hours trying to gain access to my unit. It’s hard to get help. It’s be I switched units and went to a larger unit that’s in a different building but their system didn’t accommodate the change and I issues gaining access from that point forward. I was there for 4 hours until Tiara and Andi showed up and helped. Been there for almost two years with autopay coming out and card expired they started blowing up my phone. But I couldn’t access my unit when all was paid. ??????? Got my stuff and closed the account. However, contrary I have another Public Storage unit at another location that is great. ... Read more

I was very impressed by the cleanliness from the interior to the exterior of the public storage property. The access code user instructions were very user friendly. The climate control worked as intended. Soon as I accessed my unit and walked down the hall towards my unit, the A/C came on. This property is the best hands down. Kudos to the manager of the property, must have OCD or something and I love it. You guys are spot on. Keep up the good work. ... Read more

Had a couple of questions, and thought I wouldn’t and was able to get clarification but ran into Mihila(I hope I spelled that correctly)but he was extremely pleasant. I was frustrated due to needing to find a location at the last minute. But this location seems to be what I needed. ... Read more

Generally a lot of trash and debris laying around inside the buiding and at the entrances. A very obvious smell of somebody recently smoking pot on the premises. It was pervasive throught the building. Unable to speak to a property amanager as there isn't one assigned to this location. ... Read more

Incompetent and repeated over-billing from the very start, access to my space denied because of over- billing, wrong access code and general incompetence. Lots of nice people on live chat who couldn’t solve the problems and offered to escalate to their managers. An astounding experience. ... Read more

Andi (the property manager) is the best!! She called before my move in date and then called again to see how my move in went. I also appreciate the fact that there was a ice patch at the gate due to the weather. She has been working diligently to ensure the safety of the customers that need to enter or exit the storage facility. She's always down to Earth. The storage building s are always clean. I highly recommend this location. ... Read more

TL;DR: This place aggressively raises prices while providing an increasingly degrading customer experience. There is no human staff to provide support or take accountability for the property. I look forward to getting my belongings safely out of here asap. My experience: - My rent has been more than doubled in the 2 years I've had the unit. Whatever, that's how they want to do business. - Support for the property is unreachable. Before my recent visit, I attempted to get in contact with property management multiple times via phone (no email or online contact available). With no response, I figured I'd just speak to the staff in-person when I got to the site. - I fly in this weekend to visit the site and prepare for a move. My access code doesn't work. The app doesn't work. There is no staff, just a kiosk with a video playing on repeat. The kiosk touchscreen to contact video support doesn't work. The property manager does not answer or respond to voicemail. After 20 minutes I eventually figure out I can summon someone in a call center by pressing the handicapped button on the kiosk. The video continues to loudly play, making it difficult to hear support as they help me get in the gate. - While at the site I find some of my belongings have been damaged by water which has pooled in my climate controlled unit. I see a dumpster in the back corner of the property with other's items in & around it. With no staff to talk to, I throw my water damaged items with some other unneeded items into/next to the dumpster. Within 2 days I am hit with a fine which has been auto-charged to my credit card for disposal of goods. Of course, there was no option to contact someone to discuss/dispute the charge. I've had considerably better experiences with other businesses in the area and would advise trying your luck elsewhere. This place isn't even trying to hide that they're squeezing their customers for money while providing the bare minimum they can in return. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1210 Clairmont Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 75 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1210 Clairmont Road start from $53 and can go up to $310 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
