I would like to thank the staff at public storage for their assistance during the many years that my parents stored some possessions at the facility and, after their deaths, for almost 5 years until I was in Augusta long enough to evaluate the belongings and clear the facility. Ray (manager) was particularly helpful in making sure I could keep the account current from a distance of over 500 miles and in transferring ownership after the probate judge gave me the letters testamentary. The company really protected me by requiring all of the documentation appropriate for a post-mortem transfer pursuant to the terms of a will. Finally, Ray provided a referral for a junk removal service that made the final cleaning and closure easier than it would have been otherwise. Once again, I thank the staff at Public Storage for their assistance and businesslike manner for many years. ... Read more

2 stars on account that my stuff didn't get stolen. I used a different public storage previously and had a good experience. The other security was both cheaper and more secure. Complaints: 1. I got charged for the lock even though I returned it within 30 days of my scheduled move-in date but not within 30 days of when I signed up online. 2. You could break into these units with a claw hammer. The lock is riveted loosely to the frame; the door is hollow. I absolutely would not put anything in these units that I wasn't willing lose. ... I notified public storage 2 weeks before my move out date that I will no longer need my parking space and I spoke to the woman in the office, it was never entered instead it was entered that I will be gone for a few days and now RAY who lives on property called me and stated I will be charged even though I notified them in person of my move out when I was taking my car out 2 weeks prior, I spoke to ray on the phone, and he even admitted that it stated that I will be gone for a few weeks, so if I didn’t notify anyone why in the world would it state that I notified them ? But I was still charged for an entire month a day after it was due my bill was due February 1st, and I was billed on the second as late even though they were aware of my move out, such a scam be very careful when moving in and out of this facility by this manager who absolutely do not work with public storage customers. And they DO NOT want to take any responsibility for their actions. ... Read more

The storage company I was with prior to Public Storage was HORRIBLE!! It is such a breath of fresh air to speak to anyone at Public Storage. I have had frequent conversations with Ray he actually helped me setup when I first moved in and he has been so pleasant to work with since the end of last year. He has such a great tone and it’s almost as if I’m talking to a family member anytime I speak with him. He is very thorough and he always makes sure to call me back when needed. I highly recommend renting with this specific Public Storage just because of Ray’s awesome customer service. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1525 Crescent Drive include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 24 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1525 Crescent Drive start from $28 and can go up to $92 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
