I called to cancel our storage unit they charged us anyways I asked for a refund they said to dispute it with my bank they would approve it to be refunded it’s been over six months every time I call I get told to call back or that they will return my call I want my money back! You have not replied to them either and they will not release the money without a response and NO ONE is trying to fix it! No one has even bothered to call me back. ... Read more

My boyfriend and I live about 45 minutes from Athens, and decided to use this facility to store his truck in at the beginning of May. After “making a reservation” at their main office, he was told that it was booked and had to drive to the other lot to park his truck. At that time, the gates were not working and anyone could go in and out. When we came back from summer vacation on August 1st, we came back to see that the back fence of the lot had been cut and the catalytic converter had been stolen off my boyfriend’s truck. After calling the manager Heather, she informed us to call the police and that she would meet us at the lot. When she arrived she informed us that when she comes to check on the lot, that she doesn’t check the fencing around and that the camera system has not been working for months and that she doesn’t know when or if they’ll ever be working. After waiting with us for 20 minutes, she said she was going back to the main office because “none of this had anything to with her”. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. ... Read more

I'm still waiting on my refund about to be 2 months. I understand it's not the local managers fault. I keep getting the run around and no proof that there was a refund just going on what they say. I'd love to speak with someone from the accounting department, or one of the higher ups. I will be calling until I get my money refunded. I've been nice, patient, and understanding, I'm tired of getting the run around and no refund ... Read more

I've been a "resident" of these units for about 7 1/2 years now & have watched the steady decline in their condition. The original owners had difficulties and unfortunately the residents suffered. Now there are several units with doors busted in or without doors at all and debris & trash is all over the place. They have just recently been sold to Fort Knox and hopefully they are going to do the upgrades that have been promised by previous ownership. The units come with lights but the doors that do exist are old along with the latches and the rails and all need to be replaced. Over the past year & a half I know our door has had debris blowing underneath it that every time we open the door we have to sweep a couple shovels full of leaves & dirt that are right at the front & water getting in and now we have gotten mice that are coming under the door or either over from other units through the rafters and I've had to start throwing in packets of mouse and rat killer. With the moisture that has come underneath the door we had started noticing greenish gray mold on things, the dusty kind that can definitely do damage to furniture. The doors are very difficult to open & close they don't roll smoothly on the track and have even had them pop off the track a couple times and had to fix them ourselves. The sliding latches to hold the door shut & where the lock goes usually take two people to open it and close it because somebody has to hold the door down real hard and the other to Slide the latch which does not slide well at all and have lubricated it several times with WD-40 over the years and it doesn't really helpas it is rusted & you have the same issue unlocking & opening the door. There is no longer ANY type of SECURITY, previously the owner lived on premise with a house right next to the units & she saw everyone who came & left, but now that is gone and the office is non-existent anymore since the storm. There are no fences to have to get through to get to the units & no security cameras & it can definitely use more lighting as only a few of the lights are really working. Also there is no one on site if you need anything as new ownership is out of state. The rent is no longer able to be paid at site since there is no officer anything on site it all has to be done online which can be more convenient then having to drop it off every month. But have already had some issues trying to pay it online after speaking to someone from Fort Knox and giving them all of my information to set up my account and it being set up showing that I owed several months past when in fact the rent was up to date. I had received several texts stating that my unit was being held as a lien against it for unpaid rent and so it had a chance of being auctioned off and even a phone call from someone that was different from who I spoke to before (new owners put new locks on every unit with an attached note telling you to call a number to get combination to the lock to be able to access your unit) & when I gave him the information of the other person I spoke with and the date he told me he would either call me back that day or the next and I never heard from him except for getting more texts stating that my unit was being held I'm possibly up for auction if unpaid rent wasn't paid immediately. Tried paying online and it wouldn't let me after they corrected months back of showing unpaid rent the system would tell me that I was allowed to access it to pay the rent. I again sent them messages telling them I couldn't pay the rent due to computer issue and left messages and still only got messages telling me once again my unit was being held with a lien for unpaid rent. Personnel from the new ownership has been very difficult to reach they do not return phone calls with messages left and I can only hope that this is a glitch that will be worked out soon. Hopefully the upgrades that they have stated when you pull up storage City for Panama City Florida on the Fort Knox storage units website are carried out. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Rentals of America - 1034 Hull Road include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Rentals of America - 1034 Hull Road start from $49 and can go up to $56 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
