Read some helpful reviews of Snapbox Self Storage at 38011 Pretty Pond Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Would NOT recommend! This used to be a very nice facility. It was bought out by big box brand. Storage rents more than doubled immediately. After ownership changed, there was no management or staff available in the office. Outdoor areas began to have litter, trash, overgrown grass, etc. Bathrooms locked. Climate control no longer on/working. This service (rather lack of) went on for almost 6 months. August of 2025 Access code box not working, sliding door to climate control area not working correctly/locked. Communication via phone unavailable, and emails for customers go unanswered. Took over a month to get sliding door to climate control area fixed but no break on price given for not being able to access unit. October 2025 received an email stating storage rent was increasing again to TRIPLE the "current" rate.... For no management to be available, no restroom availability, climate control not on/working.... Yet no refund or credit for not being able to access our storage unit for nearly a month. ... Read more

No one answers the phones, the doors have been broken and I can't access my belongings. The AC is not up to temp on the buildings last time I was there, there is people living in the units. Need a new property manager or assistant property manager. This AI stuff isn't working well ... Read more

For the third week in a row, I was unable to access my storage unit. This has been very inconvenient and disappointing. When you rent storage, you expect reliable access, and unfortunately, that has not been the case here. I hope management takes this seriously and resolves the issue quickly. ... Read more

If I could post negative stars I would. This storage unit has been nothing but a hassle since the day I moved my stuff in. No employees, can't get anyone on the phone,. The first storage unit had stuff spilled all over the floor and caused my friend to fall in the unit due to it couldn't be cleaned. The maintenance guy happen to show up and said the unit never should have. Even rented because it was red flagged for the slippery stuff on the floor. Due to no employees we had to make the decision to put my stuff in a different unit as they had already taken my money out. Again getting in touch with anyone to let them Know about the change in units was hours long waiting on the phone. Now the doors are broken AGAIN and I have not been able to access my unit or belongings for 3 weeks. I need paperwork out of my unit and can Not get in and after an hour on hold and recalling finally got someone on the phone that says they don't know when the problem will be fixed, they can't fix it. This is the worst place and the crappiest customer service due to lack of customer service. Who runs a business with no employees and no one to help your customers? ... Read more

If you're looking for frustration and a migraine, then this is the place for you. -Told there would be a lock waiting inside the unit. After 30 minutes on hold, the rep. told me to look in nearby empty units for a lock. Ultimately told I had to just go buy one -Tols standard padlock was fine. It's not. It requires a special adapting device. Of course there are none on site. -Calls and chats are answered by AI and you are told someone will contact you. That doesn't seem to happen at all -There is no one on site and no local number to call. They only have staff on sat. & sun. Overall, this is a very poor business model that has none on site90% of the time and no emergency contact number. Customer service is non-existent, except for when they collect the admin fee. Id cancel my contract, but no one will answer my calls ... Read more

I’ve probably been with snap box about five years never had any trouble of somebody answering the phone talking to somebody at the place at (snap box) never had a worry about the gate being open. was always open never answer the phone y’all always going up and down on the prices every six months it’s ridiculous If y’all don’t get it together, I’m gonna have to go somewhere else to put my stuff. I don’t know if new owners took it over but they suck. Used to be a good place to store stuff. Well it ain’t anymore. ... Read more

Well to be honest, you call multiple times and get recordings ,if you leave messages ,don't expect a phone the same maybe 3days after.... It's very difficult trying to get a live person by phone or even at the office. Depending who returns call lack of understanding and assistance not so good. Sorry but not sorry. This isy personal opinion. I spoke with other customers and they feel the same. Needs to improve on customer service... And possible someone available at all times for customers. Let's say that I won't or will be recommending this place to anyone unless you want to feel and get frustrated. Not content withy personal experience. Again Sorry but not Sorry. Have a pleasant day. ... Read more

Not sure what is going on ..prices were just raised, but NO ONE is in attendance, the gate is always open to outer storage, front and back doors open without a code. Homeless hanging around the entrance last night begging for money ??. On Sunday people with dogs gathered at the front doors and stuff blocking the entrance, pitbull leashed and stuck in the front door! One entire hall clogged by someone's stuff. No AC in "climate controlled" for weeks now. We have left VM's and no response. Horrible smells. Office area ?? locked on Monday at 3:30pm!? Had enough, moving out. But who to tell? How do I get deposit back? Guess I can give my key to the homeless in the foyer. ... Read more

Gate is always open so ANYONE can access the property. No one is ever on site. When you reach the call center (?) they say someone "might" be in site the next day. Very poorly set up. Unfortunately, I have to echo the recent experience as noted in the reviews given by other customers. Since GoStoreIt's purchase of Snapbox, the place has gone downhill. No one is at the office; customer service does not return calls. I had to send multiple emails to get a response. They then wanted to increase monthly rent by more than 80% per month. I cannot recommend GoStoreIt. As one reviewer noted below, make sure you ask what the historical increase of rent is after the initial term expires before renting a unit. Also make sure you ask other customers about their experience with the telephonic customer service. ... Read more

Snapbox was recently acquired by GoStoreIt. Before the acquisition, Snapbox was fantastic. They had in-office staff and the rent for the units was both reasonable and any adjustments to pricing were also reasonable. No more. The GoStoreIt acquisition focuses not on customer service, but on profits alone. For starters, the office is no longer staffed. The back secured gate was kept open for weeks, thereby exposing to the public access to their outdoor units before they decided to close it again. Multiple current and prospective tenants leave frustrated because no one is there during office hours. Everything now is handled through a call center, which never returned 3 of my calls. Only a week later was able to finally get through to someone live. The call center is the same type of wonderful experience as if you called customer service at a cable TV company. In other words, prepare to wait through a plethora of automated options, and then God help you waiting for a live representative. Pricing adjustments they are proposing for the units are outrageous and laughable. They tried to increase monthly rents by anywhere between 40% to 84% per month. Luckily, I live locally and was able to purchase a portable storage unit which I can put in my backyard instead. I would not do business with GoStoreIt. If you do, make sure you ask first how much the historical increase in your unit's monthly price is after 6 months. Don't get suckered. Shop around. ... Read more

Less than 1 star if i could. Shady billing practices. Snapbox self storage Zephyhills, FL. I rented a storage unit in December. According the the letter they sent me, on January 16th they billed me $15 dollars and on January 18th they sent me a "preliminary lein" letter. The letter stated I was more than 14 days late on payment. I received the letter on January 24th. I'm no math wizzard, but the number of days between Jan 16 and Jan 24 is not 14, in fact its 8 days from when they billed me. The lein notice was the first billing I received from them. So, I called them, not disputing that I owe the money, but wanted to discuss the manner in which they are attempting to collect (lein is a legally threatening term). Of note, they have a card on file and authorization to collect reoccuring payment, so I'm not tracking what the issue is. The manager had lots of excuses, none of them really relevant, so I told them I'd be in to clear it out, settle the $15 that I owe, and we'll part ways. Well....they locked me out. Also of note, my mom has a unit there as well...and they just DOUBLED her monthly rate. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Snapbox Self Storage - 38011 Pretty Pond Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Snapbox Self Storage - 38011 Pretty Pond Road start from $18 and can go up to $325 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
