The staff on site are some of the rudest people I've ever encountered. Absolutely no people skills. Any conversation you attempt to have is instantly turned into an adversarial encounter. Homeless people are staying on the premi ses. They prop open the back door to the stairs. They loiter on the property. The staff does nothing. Trash is left sitting around for days. Ceiling panel in elevator is about to fall at any moment. ... Read more

I went there because I needed to change my current storage unit, but the person assisting me, Mia, had a very rude attitude from the start. It was as if she was annoyed just by having to help me, and at one point, she even started yelling. Since my English is very basic, I asked her to speak more slowly, but she kept talking very fast and with an even worse attitude. When I tried to get someone to help me translate, instead of being patient, she got even more upset because she had to repeat the information. I understand that communication can sometimes be frustrating, but if her job is to assist customers, she should be able to do so with respect. She was just sitting at the computer, so I don’t understand why she reacted that way. ... Read more

Grateful for Mrs Betty being a part of the staff at this location. She renewed my faith in humanity by quickly calling me back after I left a voicemail and taking the time to look into my account to help me resolve any issues and questions about my storage spaces. 5 star for her service but 3 stars for the climate controlled building that could use some TLC on the first floor lobby / doors / elevators from the abuse it’s suffered from other renters. Suggestion to Management: Paint some yellow striped lines just outside of the main climate controlled building entrance indicating “NO PARKING” since I’ve noticed a reoccurring issue of people breaking the rule by partially blocking access to the main door entryway while unloading and spreading their belongings across the landing. It’s not fair to the other renters that do follow this simple rule and have to carefully navigate through the mess. Unfortunately I have personally witnessed loud uncomfortable fights break out over this issue. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 4200 Okeechobee Blvd include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 4200 Okeechobee Blvd start from $69 and can go up to $610 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
