Tasha and Mr. Ray were super helpful in setting everything up for my storage experience. I came in with an initial account question and everything was handled so smoothly. And Rose helped complete my rental paperwork so quickly with no issues. I have no doubt that with customer service like this, I'll be in good hands! Definitely recommend! ... Read more

I've had a few storages here for about 3 years, and have never had a problem. The facility is clean, and ample carts to use. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially Tasha. She is very knowledgeable about the process and about how Storage King works. I would highly recommend this storage facility. ... Read more

RUN!!!!!These people are 3rd rate crooks. Doubled my rate after 5 months with less than 1 week notice. Then, impossible to get a human on the phone so I could cancel. Not hard, IMPOSSIBLE. So far, the Hell No list in Tallahassee is Prime Storage and Storage King. Save your time and money and just use Fort Knox ... Read more

Very bad experience regarding rental insurance. If you book online, you are forced to buy insurance. You have to contact them and provide proof of private insurance. This process creates an unnecessary job for the customer. I went to the office to provide proof of insurance but the clerk would not take it and told me to email it. I’m literally standing at the desk and he tells me to email it. The manager has a very bad attitude and was not emphatic. I’m sure a lot of customers continue to pay the $14 per month for insurance just to avoid the hassle. I’m very sure that Storage King is counting on this. My unit does not have a light and was very dark at 1pm on a sunny day. Fortunately, I should not have to deal with any more employees if they ever credit the $14 back to my card. I have not put anything in my unit yet. If I do not get a response, I will find another storage place and start the cycle of paying for bad service all over again. ?? ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage King USA - 3110 Apalachee Pkwy include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
