Absolutely love this storage place!! The staff has helped me with everything throughout the pandemic. She even helped me find a mover. They always go above and beyond for me. I have stored my stuff with them for 4 years. I couldn't recommend them more highly. This place is cheap, well kept, and the staff is exceptional. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! ... One star because the people who run it are nice. If you value any of your stuff DO NOT store it here. We had three units, one climate controlled and two that were not. The two that were not were infested with rats. We were only in one of the units for 2 weeks and everything in it was destroyed (think rat poo and pee everywhere.....everywhere). We spoke to some folks who were moving their stuff out a couple units down from us and they had the same problem and all of their belongings were in their unit and everything was ruined. I'm sure they staff know about the problem and they keep renting to folks...it's unfortunate that as nice as they are, they have a disgusting secret and they'll take your money. ... Read more

I walked in the office to find two staff members at desks talking to what I assume was an established customer. They glanced at me, and I gave a pleasant hello to which the staff turned back around and resumed their conversation. I waited a moment to see if I would be greeted or given some acknowledgment beyond an inconvenienced glance but I was left wanting. I walked about out to my car and as I closed the door one staff member had come out and looked at me. I rolled down my window and she asked, "You need me?". "I did," I replied. "We have the lowest rates in town," she said. I answered, "I see why." Extra Space storage is less than a quarter mile north and they greeted me with smiles, courteous and swift service. Do yourself a favor and spend a couple extra dollars for some service. ... Read more

Sure, their prices are low, but service is second-rate. Once, we had an extra lock put on our unit for no reason at all. They took it off promptly, by request but gave no explanation or apology for our unit being unavailable over the weekend when we needed it. So we emptied our unit over the holiday weekend, when my husband went to close the account, he was told they already made that assumption and closed the account since they found it empty with no lock. NO "Thanks for your business" or "I'm sorry, were you planning to put something else in it?" or "Sorry to see you go." Just on to the next customer. Tacky lack of professionalism, if you ask me. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Budget Storage - 2816 Joel Brown Drive include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
