Claudette was on duty when i came in to look at the storage I saw online. Claudette was knowledgeable and great at explaining how the process worked. She had an excellent sense of humor and patience. I saw her dealing with a customer's unusual request by explaining all the possible ways of doing what she wanted to achieve and she helped to customer make the best decision. She took me to storage unit so that I got a full understanding of what I'm renting. B341 ... Read more

0 STARS. My grandmother, (75 years old) has had a 5x10 unit since 2007 with public storage. Over the years they gradually increased her payments to almost $400 a month. The only way she could reduce her payments, as a loyal customer of 18 years, was to relocate all of her belongings to another 5x10 unit. This unit was down the SAME hall with a LARGE PILLAR in it. My boyfriend and I helped her to move all of her belongings, but how absolutely absurd to make a 75 year old women (with a bad hip), relocate to another unit OF THE SAME EXACT SIZE. This move reduced her charges from $400 to $126. Someone please help me to make this make sense. Like come on, IF JOHNNY HAD 10 APPLES IN A BASKET …..AND HE MOVED ALL 10 APPLES TO ANOTHER BASKET…..HOW MANY APPLES DOES HE HAVE?? It’s really this simple. Hope this helps. ... Read more

I wish I could give it a zero. This company is the perfect example of corporate GREED in America. They bait you in with a deal & speedily up-charge the month price & the fees. I started paying 200 & ended up paying 670. This pathetic company feeds on desperation & the emotional attachment people have to their own property. This financial abuse should be against the law. There should be consumers rights that protect us against this blatant cruelty. I had to abruptly move 12 hours away because my brother was dying & left my new furniture and memories in true devils den. I thought about letting my things so many times but there more I paid the more foolish I felt to allow these blood suckers to auction off my property. If anyone want to get with me so I can file a lawsuit against this bloodsucker corporation. Let me know. I called a lawyer today. The manager told me that my rent would go up as it stated in the agreement. First of all who would think it would go up hundreds of dollars every few months. America is going downhill because of these greedy million/billion dollar companies taking advantage of their customers. I pray this company goes bankrupt. I would never work for this kind of company. The amount of money I have spent with this disgusting corporation is absurd. I need my head checked. Then my storage was filled with cockroaches. ... Read more

I left a gleaming review for an employee (Bre Lucien) of this establishment approximately 4 months ago. And I still believe/stand by that review however, tonight-this morning I'm updating my view. Sometime throughout my agreement with this business, I must have failed to comprehend the "access" hours of this location. This is my way of being sarcastic, btw. Because from the time I paid for my 1st rental unit. I've been accessing inside the gates after 9pm. So obviously I did not foresee being "LOCKED" in this place overnight at all! Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened to me tonight! Accepting that I'm possibly the party at fault here, I chalked it up to "Operator Error." So I made several attempts to contact someone who could remotely open the gate. Yeah, that failed miserably! So I called my local police department and to my surprise, was informed this happens frequently. The Officer/Sergeant that adsisted me advised they weren't equipped with a code to help me but provided a phone number for me to call. That number and the other eight or nine numbers I called subsequently only provided me an option to leave a voicemail to which I did. For about three hours, I intentionally and methodically left messages that should be received with a tapered venom that the lateness of the hour would allow. Around midnight or so, I began to feel my glucose level decline and called again, still no answer and no response to my previous calls either. Luckily, I found a couple of breath mints in my purse that gave me some reprieve for the moment. Now at 226am, still no response and I've since resolved my fate to be here until 6am which is what the text messages say from the PS app. This is insane to me simply because practically ALL of my visits to this location have been well after 9 pm. Especially this weekend when I began removing my property...now that I think about it, the darn gate was raised up (as if it was stuck or broken). Actually, PS used to advertise 24 hour accessibility (if I remember correctly) I could be wrong on that as well. It's inconceivable that each month since I been a renter, my monthly rental gradually increased. Not because additional coverages/services have been added (I haven't seen an attendant on site in 4 months) but any attempt to speak with a living being, is accosted by an option to make a payment! SHAMEFUL! If I could rate PS any lower than the 1 star, I'd rate them a -370.23 which is the amount of August's rent. Do better, PS! ... Read more

The place is clean, secure and very well kept, however is a mission trying to get some help with any issue you might have with your rental. There is NEVER at the front office to help you and calling and leaving a message is a complete waste of time since you won't get a call back. You need to keep going there and get super lucky to find someone there to help you, so if you go there and there is someone is you lucky day might of well plat the lotto that day, you never know!!!! ... Bre Lucien IS THE ABSOULTE BEST!!!!!! Public Storage, whomever is running this operation, should be moving to increase her salary with a hefty bonus. Here's the scenario: in a bout of urgency, I secured a unit (sight unseen) and came to stack a few large boxes inside last evening. Low and behold (behold and low) the elevator was inoperable. Frustration took hold, and I left a very stern/direct voicemail expressing my discontent. Subsequently, I returned today only to be met with the most consummate professional I've encountered in a long while. Armed with the option to cancel my contract, I did just that. However, while speaking with Bre, she advised of other units that were available but located on the first floor. Yes, this unit was a tad bit pricier but more convenient and comparable to my needs. I mentioned to Bre that in our current social climate, customer service is not prevalent anymore and her persuasive nature encouraged me to reconsider. Bre was a tornadoe filled with fresh air. For this, I fully recommend that she be acknowledged in very appropriate manner for her diplomacy, professionalism, and exquisite customer service capabilities. Public Storage, please do right by Bre Lucien. She has earned this and more as far as I'm concerned. Thank you in advance, DW ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 225 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 8560 West Commercial Blvd start from $109 and can go up to $388 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
