Units are fine, but make sure yall read your "contracts" very carefully, as Storage Mart is bullshit. First they claim months are 50% off. If you sign up at the end of the month, and have 5 days left in that month, well that price you pay is one of your half off months. On top of this, they charge you a $30 fee every month that is non negotiable for "insurance" that protects your items up to $8000. They fail to say that this is NOT part of your unit total. So if you rent a unit for $300 a month, and on paper it says $300 a month, well you will pay $330 a month. When I asked about it, they said you signed papers acknowledging this charge. OK, then why was it not shown as the total then? They do this so they can do rate hike increases whenever they want. The 50% the first 3 months, they get that money back. And the required insurance, thats a total scam. I dont care about paying $300 a month. But dont tell someone the total is $265, sign at $265 and just ADD on the extra fees. Really deceptive. ... Carmen was very helpful, explained everything including different options - - - I explained I just rented / filled unit at another company and was not happy when I went in to turn off autopay and woman didn’t turn it off - Carmen understood what I was looking for and got lease set up accordingly for me the first attempt. This storage place is pretty much like the others. Get you in at a great price and raise you every year. I have a 10X12 storage that stated at $ 120.00 a month and is now up to $240.00 I will be emptying my space as it’s just cheaper to throw everything away.. so $2880.00 per year to store a crap is not worth it.. ... I had such a great experience from the storage market from the moment I walked in the manager was so friendly and helpful. She took the time to walk me through all the different unit sizes and help me figure out exactly what I needed when I was trying to over me. The process was super quick and easy and she explained everything clearly so I knew what to expect when I came back to actually move my stuff and she even checked in on me to make sure I was doing OK and had everything I needed. The facility itself is really clean well lit and I feel really safe coming in and out at different times of the day. Honestly customer service like this is hard to come by. It made a stressful move so much easier I would definitely recommend the location to anyone who needs storage. ... Read more

My mother unexpectedly passed away in October and because she rented we needed to quickly empty her home. We are not ready to go through her belongings yet as it is still very painful. However, we are looking for another storage facility. Being from out of town, this will require time off & renting another truck to facilitate the move. The reason, we rented a 10X10 unit at Storage Mart for a reasonable rate. In January the rate doubled to $155/month. There were no prearranged provisions made for end of life expenses as mentioned the death of my mother was unexpected. So the expense is a huge burden already. In reading the comments this deceptive practice seems to be common place for Storage Mart. They are unapologetic and unaccommodating. ... Read more

Im sure a wave of bad reviews will follow. Have had a unit here for 9 months. We had a rent raise 3 months in which was understandable . And now received notification that it's doubling. Shop around if your looking for a unit because there are plenty of brand new facilities for this price point. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at StorageMart - 1445 SE Indian Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 450 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
