I can't believe this place sent a link asking me for feedback -Ready ??? STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE STORING THINGS AND GOING TO ANOTHER STATE! I had nothing but issues from the minute I got there. They were offering one month free so i thought why not. I arrived and inquired about a small unit. They had none available but offered me the next size up 5x10 for the same price. It started with the contract they wanted me to sign which had the bigger unit price. I had to wait 3 days to move my stuff in as I was not going to sign my contract until the correct price was quoted. I moved in -ONE MONTH LATER i get a notice of a rent increase from $58 to $99- remember they didn't have a larger unit available and this 5x10 was offered to me . After a bunch of back and forth they finally got my contract correct and I took down my review. EVERY TIME I WOULD LOG IN TO PAY THE WRONG AMOUNT WAS BILLED. I should be reimbursed for the hours I spent !! Fast forward- after 3 months of continuous wrong billing and work on my end i HAD TO BUY A PLANE TICKET AND FLY TO FLORIDA TO RETRIEVE MY STUFF !! Katrina was absolutely amazing. I was already on my way to another storage unit not affiliated with them, and she convinced me otherwise. She not only got the payment that I would have gotten with the other storage unit, but she made it so that I felt my belongings were safe, for a small price. She was sweet, understanding, reliable and had all of the answers to my complicated questions. She deserves a raise! I signed up for a one-month-free movein special on a 5x5 unit , they told me they could give me a 5x10 for the same price, so I agreed. The contract they gave me showed the full price, not the promo delaying my movers by two days because I refused to sign incorrect pricing.
Three months later, they suddenly raised my rate to $99, and five minutes after that, I got an email saying the same 5x10 unit is advertised for $64. Once you’re moved in and committed, they change the price textbook bait and switch.

I came here today 10/3/25, to rent a 5x10 unit.
Site manager Alexander was awesome and very apologetic because I had to wait quite a while because they could only handle 1 customer at a time, due to only one computer
(A new hire was training on line and tying up the 2nd computer)
If it wasn’t for the lady working with the other customer, who acknowledged me with a welcome as soon I came in and then Alex explaining everything, I surely would have went up the road!
So HELLO UPPER MANAGEMENT, get a way to train new employees without tying up a needed computer! I am positive others will just head up the road where many storage facilities are abundant.

Have been storing at this facility for over 25 years when prime Storage bought the place two or three years ago prices just went through the roof so my boss decided it was time to move out of there. At that time Alex became the manager and convinced me to rent a unit there on my own, which I did and have been very satisfied with the attention and courtesy of such a professional manager.
Not only have I been in facility for 25 years. I also rented units at Public Storage in three different states and become good friends with most of the managers. One of them. I still see every Saturday. Alex has a type of personality that they could be a lifelong friend, but I feel so sorry for him having to walk through that whole place day in and day out in this wonderful south Florida heat. Thank God I have a cooler of water every time I pass him, I’m in and out of there daily because of my business, so I give him a bottle of water, most of the time being a professional he is with common sense. He has his own water, but I have been able to give a bottle here and there.
I will continue to rent here, despite the fact that I was given a 25% increase after two months. That is because of the convenience and the security that I have being in a very well lit area, as well as the hurricane protection of the building.
However, since my business is growing, I will rent other units at the facilities that I am involved with, where rates have only increased maybe 10 to 15% over the last 2 to 3 years I don’t spend much time in those facilities anyway. I do know that things change as long as Alex is there. I’ll keep the unit I have and if he’s not replaced with somebody as efficient and/or friendly, I can downsize to a smaller unit and just take my stuff to another one and it’ll work the same.

public storage has always been a nightmare for me. navigating prices, storage units that are faulty or the climate control doesn't work, dealing with staff; all the horror stories that I've heard is what I've feared for years. never would I have ever thought I would be needing in public storage, until a good friend of mine died last year in august. her family had a storage unit already with a different company but space (and of course budget) were very limited. and with my friends apartment needing to be emptied out, her family was now in the market to purchase additional storage or move to a new storage lot all together. they've managed with what little space they had, but having to get stuff in and out whenever they needed it gets a little out of hand which is why I've decided to help her family shop around for a new place. Smart stop, public storage, snap box; I've lost track of how many storage places I've talked to and all the prices I've written down. but Prime Storage is the one place I will remember for a good while. I was in Stuart visiting a friend who recommended me a few companies to talk to and prime storage was the first stop. when I walked in, I was expecting another mundane conversation about nothing but units, but the employee I talked to was completely different than what I expected. his name was Alex, and man was he the most charismatic man I have ever talked to. bro had the energy of a long time friend who wanted to catch up and ask about how life had been treating me. of course he couldn't be there for long as he had other errands to attend to, but he provided enough time to talk about the facility, the amenities offered for each unit, and after hearing about my story of my search for another storage provider, he also gave me info about deals that I could take advantage of even if I only needed a unit temporarily and gave me the address to another prime location closer to where I live if I do decide to rent a unit. you know, I've been to business's before that treat you as if you're family and not like you're nothing but another statistic, but encounters like this are rare for me. and to get this level of customer service from a place like a storage unit business, to me, is unheard of. I appreciate how thoughtful and empathetic that man was in listening to my plight without brushing me off or trying to rush the conversation like other people have done. I parked my RV at this location for two years. I moved it for two reasons, then was screwed again when I left:
1--The gates are often broken, meaning they're left open for days at a time. There's no security that I know of late at night, so anyone could wander in and steal equipment or break into storage units.
2--Constant price increases. My rent increased about 30% over two years. That's far above the rate of inflation. I assure you there were no improvements made to the parking spot where my RV was.
Upon leaving, I gave about 45 days' notice. I didn't want to be tagged with any extra fees. I left on May 1. However, my bill was paid through May 14. I asked the manager about getting a refund immediately after that bill was posted in April and he mumbled something about, yeah, we'll see. That should've been a sign to me. Despite moving out on May 1, and giving 45 days' notice that I'd be doing so, I was told AFTER I moved out that my rent for May 1 through May 14 would NOT be refunded.

On January 14, 2025, I went to my local Prime Storage to see about storage rates. I was shown options, and for the size I wanted, I was told the rate would be $124. To me, that was a fair price. After signing the contract, I was told that it was a month to month contract and the price "may go up in the future". Everything goes up eventually, so I didn't think much of it. 2 months later, after I was all moved in, I received a letter stating that the price was going up to $165. That's a 33% price increase in just 2 months. If they were honest about their pricing, I could have made a better decision. It seems like a deceiving practice to me to raise the price so much in a short time. I'm sure they figure nobody will want to spend hours moving all their stuff out to find a better rate somewhere else. I am choosing to stay, for now, because it is easier for me. If it goes up anymore, however, I'll move out. The unit itself is decent and clean, although the garage type door is very hard to open and close. ? 1 Star – Absolute Crooks! Stay Far Away!

I had a terrible experience with Prime Storage. I told them I needed to move out because I couldn’t afford the unit, and they offered a slight discount. I clearly stated that I still needed to move, agreed to pay for the rest of the month, and even filled out the move-out paperwork they sent me.
Fast forward three months later, and I find out they kept charging my card the entire time! When I confronted them, they lied and claimed I never submitted my paperwork—despite me having email proof showing otherwise. I had to file a chargeback through my bank just to get my stolen money back.
This company preys on people, especially single women who they assume won’t fight back. Dishonest, unethical, and completely untrustworthy. Avoid them at all costs! ... Read more

I reserved a 5x5 with Ed who was professional, helpful and friendly. I went to move my stuff from Jupiter yesterday. I was greeted by the lovely Jessica. I went to look at it and knew it wasn't big enough. I went back to the office and she promptly found a 5x10 right next to it. Outstanding, Excellent exceeding expectations.
