Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 9220 Cortez Blvd, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I do not have on autopay as this is what I was instructed to do if I needed to pay on the 5th instead of the 1st every month. I was told this upon setup because that’s when my husband gets paid. So it didn’t come out this month and I was late. I call and explain to Ben, the manager I guess, that the reason I was late is because of going into actual labor and giving birth to my baby. I think he did try but then said, nope sorry nothing could be done. I had a c section. I felt it there was an issue with my anesthesia and I literally felt the pain of being cut into. Ripping, burning. Despite that, giving birth isn’t a good enough excuse to waive a late fee? This is bad business and just added to my level of defeat for the week. Idk when our capitalist society became so greedy that a company would refuse to help a mother, who had just had a baby. If I knew that I’d definitely had gone with a different storage company. Absolutely disgusting practice to not waive a $20 fee from someone who offered to give proof that I was still in the actual hospital with a newborn in the nicu. ... Read more

We had a fantastic experience at Public Storage, thanks to the outstanding help from Ben the manager. From the moment we walked in, he was incredibly professional, friendly, and genuinely eager to assist. We needed help with some paperwork and were also looking to upgrade to a larger unit. He made the entire process smooth and stress-free, taking the time to explain all the details clearly and ensuring we understood every step. He went above and beyond to make sure we got the right unit for our needs and even helped us transition quickly and efficiently. It’s rare to find someone so knowledgeable and dedicated to customer service. We truly appreciated his patience, attention to detail, and the personal care he showed throughout the process. Highly recommend this location – especially if you get the chance to work with this manager. A+ service all around! Thank you Ben for your help, greatly appreciated. Scott and Sandy Browning ... Public storage was always a great place to do business. And now with the automation and very professional staff, it has only gotten better. Case in point, Victoria at the Weeki Wachee store is fabulous, very knowledgeable and was extremely helpful in my time of need. Bravo, to Public Storage for having such a great employee. Terrible Since Public Storage Took Over! ?? I've been renting here for over 3 years, and things have gone downhill fast since Public Storage took over. The previous owner, SpaceBox, was so much better. On top of everything, they've now raised prices by a shocking 50%! This is unacceptable. Avoid this place. ... Read more

Nothing but problems since public storage took over. The last company SpaceBox was 10x better. But don’t worry, Public Storage made sure to get their building painted before making sure all their customers were taken care of. Plus you have to get out of your vehicle to enter the gate code to leave? Much nicer when it was just automatic. Cutting down entry hours too?? Messed up payments, messed up gate codes, the list could go on. ... Read more

Chelsea is awesome, courteous, and knowledgeable. I do not feel my questions could be unanswered, and everything was explained and disclosed in detail in regards to what can be stored, automatic withdrawal, and insurance. My biggest criticism would be for corporate to offer year long leases to prevent price increases. Space box did not offer this either. Aside from that, everything else is exceptional. ... Read more

Staff is friendly, and the facility is very clean. Lots of climate controlled units and non climate controlled units to choose from. Also, there are lots of parking spaces to store your RV or boat if needed. This location also has a box truck if you need to use to assist with your moving. Spacebox storage gives me peace of mind knowing that my property is safe and secure. ... Read more

We’ve had to store things on numerous occasions and the storage units my fiancé chose were ok. I mean they got the job done so I was a little skeptical when he chose this place but I was very surprised when we got there. The prices were great! The manager Sean was amazing. He was extremely helpful while making us laugh. We got a tour of the storage facility as well as showing us two different unit sizes so we could make the best decision for how much we had to store. This place is great! It’s extremely clean and cool inside. I think some of the best things are they give you a month free and they give the truck free if you choose a 10x10 or larger. There’s also a place for coffee Tea or some hot cocoa! They also offer anything you could possibly need for moving. There’s four carts when you start unloading there’s a huge area to unload with an awning so as not to get your things wet if it rains . Very large elevators with padded walls. Which is great if you’re moving furniture. Anyway I highly highly recommend this place!!!! We’re very satisfied customers! ?? ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 9220 Cortez Blvd include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 9220 Cortez Blvd start from $28 and can go up to $203 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
