The worst experience ever with Public Storage outside units on Babcock St.!!! These units are infested with rats! The upper management and property manager, are very well aware of this but completely turn a blind eye to the problem! I have been waiting for the exterminator to supposedly come out and exterminate the unit, to which this has not happened, since rats were found in the unit two months ago. The last one was found last week. There's feces all over our stuff and clothes! It's utterly disgusting! And when I called the corporate number, the customer service completely sucks. They're so unprofessional and gaslight the conversation. I am just waiting to get the unit cleaned out and can't wait to remove whatever is not damaged, out of this horrid place. Walls are cracked, with openings on the side and view of the adjacent unit. This is definitely not a 5 star rating which by the way, I believe that all the five star ratings are fake! They get you in the beginning with a low fee and a few months later, they bump your rent up. I've already had three increases. When asking if they can compensate for my inconvenience on a reduction of the monthly fee, they deducted only 25.00 and rudely told me that I would not get any more. Mind you, this rat infestation has been going on for over two months. If I can spare someone from renting here and going thru this nightmare, I pray that this posting will do just that. Run from this place!! It's disgusting!!!!!! ... Read more

Greed will be the downfall of this company. Twice they raised my rate in a year from $150 to $267. I’m moving out and I’ll never rent with them again. I much rather throw away my stuff because if I save the money I pay them I will actually be able to afford wayyyy more than what I’m paying for in my storage. Bad idea if you decide to store with this company. They are not climate controlled units either so this is well not worth it. ... Read more

It was easy to reserve our storage unit online. The app made it easy to manage my account and also loved that I could open the gate without having to get out of my car. We needed a storage unit for 6 months and went to it often with no problems. It was a simple process to notify them when we were moving out, we followed their move out procedure (clear out belongings and take the lock) and all went well. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 4660 Babcock Street include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 4660 Babcock Street start from $40 and can go up to $222 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
