Read some helpful reviews of Self Storage Center of Ocala at 1300 SW 27th Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

This storage rental place offered a good value for money. However, shortly after I signed for a larger unit, they switched to a new management company. They appeared quite similar to Public Storage, and my fear was confirmed—they might constantly increase rates every few months. Today, I received my first notice of a price increase after four months under the new management. ... Read more

The price is reasonable, but considering it's my first time, I can accept a fee for paying late, but they charge me $35 to lock my unit and I also have to buy another lock... it's not fair. Customer service is good. They know how to talk to customers well. Charging extra is unacceptable. ... Read more

I don’t recommend ever doing an auction there. I bought a unit and told the front office I’ll be back to pick up the rest of my stuff because my car was full and when I came back one of the employees was throwing my stuff I just paid for in the dumpster. Then when I ask why he did that he was very rude to me and told me to go in the dumpster and get it out. So I went to the office and told them what happened and basically they sided with the maintenance man Saying he’ll take it out the trash for you when earlier he said he wouldn’t and the management told me to not be upset. There’s nothing I can do and I only paid $40 for the unit and what’s done is done that I can’t do anything about it not to mention I lost a lot of good clothes that I already bought due to the fact that there was water in the dumpster and now the clothes are ruined and these are not cheap clothes that I won Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Disney, kids clothes they never once offer me any type of compensation and try to be little me. Please do not go to their auctions for this might happen to you. And I got banned because I spoke up for what’s right ... Read more

Their rates went up. And now they share my credit card info with any employee I don't talk to. Apparently reading back my card info is not a concern. They have been rather stupid and daft for 2 years, but now, listening to a lady say goodbye to some person after reading back my card info has me wondering and her assurance was he didn't hear. Right. I can hear him, bet he could hear me. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Self Storage Center of Ocala - 1300 SW 27th Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 450 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Self Storage Center of Ocala - 1300 SW 27th Avenue start from $29 and can go up to $269 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
