Read some helpful reviews of Midgard Self Storage at 300 SW 143rd Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Emmanuel was always extremely helpful. He is one of the most positive people that I’ve met recently. A great asset to your staff. I never really dealt with Zach. But all the virtual assistance were also very professional. ... Read more

Very easy process to rent here! Took about 10 minutes. I used the video kiosk, Darian let me look at a 10x10 unit before renting so I would have an idea of what size I needed. I came back to the office and Emmanuel and Rose got me through the rest. The facility is very clean, everything works properly, and it has good lighting. Totally recommend Midgard. ... Read more

Arrived for my reservation no one in the building the auto attendant informs me that we can not get our reservation as the property manager is not here. Door are open, open sign is on. Been transferred to multiple people and no one seems to know what to do. What is the point of reservation. And what’s the point of having a sign that says property manager available during office hours ... Read more

I have 3 units and it’s a good experience every time I deal with any Midgard associate. Most recently, Sean, Chase & Laidy were great and helped me get exactly what I wanted. Manuel the site manager is always helpful as well. ... Read more

I’m very impressed with Midgard Self Storage. I just reserved a unit yesterday morning (on a Sunday, no less) and the experience was fairly seamless. I did have to contact someone to explain how to open a lock that was on the unit door, but she was very professional, quick to answer the questions and helpful. The property is in a nice and safe location and it looks quite secure. Very pleased ... Read more

Disappointing that they have cut our personal locks off the units and replace them with Tumblr locks. Did not request this nor wanted. Can no longer send employees to pick things up as they will now have the code permanently. ... Read more

Ever since MidGuard bought out Steeplechase Storage, this facility has gone downhill. Customer service is poor, difficult to actually speak to someone at the facility and the worst part is the exorbitant rate increases! We use to get a small rate increase once a year of maybe $20, MidGuard is now sending out rate increases of $75 or more and more than once a year. Corporate greed has taken over, Steeplechase cared about their customers and all MidGuard cares about is the $$$. Not only am I going to take my business elsewhere but I’m going to go above and beyond to make sure I tell everyone to stay away from here. I understand it’s a business but there is no governance or regulations on how often they increase rates or by how much! They are a bunch of damn crooks and are taking advantage of people! ... When we first moved in we were very pleased with Steeplechase Storage. It has now changed hands and current owner Midgard keeps raising the rates and adding conveniences (for them) and charging the tenants for them. Visit the Delphi website. This wonderful lock costs them less than $13 plus nominal fees for the software. Thus after 2 months they pocket $6 per month. Multiply that by the number of units and by 12 months to get the yearly profit. Break ins at storage facilities are rare but the locking mechanisms are easy to cut followed by removal of the unopened lock. Once easy to communicate with, the new owners have replaced humans with AI. The few people left are nice, friendly, and helpful. We did not get an email concerning the new locks and they began installing them before they said they would. We became fed up and left for another storage facility! One star is too much ... Read more

We have been storing our belongings here for almost a year with no issues. They have 24/7 cameras and on site security. Limited hours of operation which I love cuz NOBODY needs to go to their unit at 3am. So I'd there is anybody on site after hours, they shouldn't be there! Great for safety and protection or property! Staff has always been very helpful and has went above and beyond to serve us and our needs ?????? HIGHLY RECOMMEND ... Read more

Midgard Storage gets a 1-star rating for predatory and deceptive practices. Here's why: Hidden Fees: Starting January 1, you'll be forced to rent their lock at $5.99/month. Want 24-hour access? That’s an extra $10/month. Introductory Rates: The online rate is a bait-and-switch with their Month-to-Month leases. Expect a steep rent hike after 3 months. Massive Increases: My rent shot up by 54% ($50/month), far exceeding local market trends and inflation. When I reached out to the owner (Reliant Real Estate Management, Roswell, GA) for an adjustment based on market trends, their response was: "In a competitive market, it is a common practice to offer these initial rates as a means of introducing customers to our services. However, it's important to note that these new customer rates are subject to adjustments over time due to market dynamics and industry competitiveness." Translation: we're raising your rent because we can. Beware. Read the fine print before signing. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Midgard Self Storage - 300 SW 143rd Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 540 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Midgard Self Storage - 300 SW 143rd Street start from $43 and can go up to $486 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
