Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 5609 NE 2nd Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I just rented a storage unit at the Public Storage on NE 2nd and 56th street. Yasmeen took care of me. She’s switched-on and helpful. A real pleasure to deal with someone who understands customer service and actually cares about the business she represents. Outstanding experience. Definitely recommend! ... Read more

This facility is not run well. The "employee" is constantly on break and is rarely there to help. The hand trucks are difficult to find and are not usually where they are supposed to be. Also, it is not in a safe area and the other day the exit door was open all day. A shady person just came in and was asking people for money and just sitting inside. It made everyone feel unsafe. The office was closed so no help there. I have used multiple storage facilities and this is one of the worst ones. ... Read more

Had to vacate my mom’s unit and Jimmy and Yasmeen helped seamlessly transfer the unit in my name. Admittedly a litle frustrated with late fees, but they did their best to accomodate me and reimburse the miscommunication. ... Read more

There are no dollies OR hand trucks available for customers to use. The lobby person stated there are none available on site I was so disappointed that should be free & available for customers to use. Moving In/out would be so much better. Other than that I have no issues with this location. ... Read more

I have three different storage places and two different locations in Miami and the location 108th and NW. 7th Ave. is the better place and I have to say it’s because of Miss Pam the property manager there… Miss Pam is funny patient at the same time knowable and street smart and helpful… So much so that when I vacated that storage unit I was a little bit sad because I wouldn’t be coming across her anymore… She’s invaluable to that company and I hope they appreciate her- M Toichstone ... Don't rent here unless you are OK with them increasing your rent about 30% overnight. I've only had this unit for maybe three months and they have already increased it 30% the woman at the front desk said this is something they do every six months. How much is my storage unit gonna end up being in a year over $225 for a 5 x8 foot box? This is crazy. This place is super overpriced. It doesn't seem like they value their customers at all. There is no transparent pricing, they already messed up my pricing when I originally moved in, they trick you with online prices that do not reflect what they charge at all. I will have to be moving from here because it is not worth the 30% increase at all. The area where this is should not be this expensive ... Read more

This 5 stars are only for the employees Yasmeen & Fred, their teamwork was on point. Their sense of urgency and willingness to help is exactly what employees should do to meet customer needs. They exceeded my expectations. BRAVO!!! *This business didn’t pay us for this review. This review is not a promo, it’s just to give an applause to the employees who shined. Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 5609 NE 2nd Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 8 to 150 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 5609 NE 2nd Avenue start from $40 and can go up to $357 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
