Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 245 South Plumosa Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Let’s be real, the unit is fine. There is an elevator to get to the second floor which is wonderful to help us move large stuff to our unit. There is also a set of stairs around the corner for faster access. It’s in a AC controlled environment, so that our belongings don’t get all moldy. Sign up was a breeze, their app is easy to use, and the auto pay feature is great. The frustrating thing is that within a year, my bill will have increased from $55, to $85, to $115. There has been no upgrades, I haven’t moved to a bigger unit, I haven’t been late on any of my payments. So why?! “It’s because you are in a month to month basis, with no contract”. That’s crazy… seems like a way to cheat the system and take advantage of people. I’m sure most storage places are like that these days, I’m in search of another. Edited- Brian from Public Storage reached out explaining how the rates worked, and was able to help. He took the time to reach my review and make things right. For that, I changed from a 3 star to 5 star. Thanks your reaching out Brian ... Read more

Doesn’t deserve 1 star. After finding out about the rat infestation. Literal skeletons and decomposing bodies all over the complex and inside the units. I have decided to move out. I was told by customer service that was not his concern and I would be charged for the entire month of August if I were to be out by the 2nd. Absolutely disgusting! Do not rent from them! ... I have called multiple times and no one ever gets back to me. We rented here for 3 years. The rent goes up ridiculous amounts every year. They are more expensive than anywhere else. And these pictures are from us moving out. We had been trying to reach them about the rat issue. Things we had stored to remodel our home are now damaged because of the rat infestation on the property that continues to go unaddressed. I would not recommend renting here! ... Read more

It's a great experience renting here. Vicki was extremely helpful to me. I'm vertically challenged and was unable to to reach my 5x5 unit. Vickie was able to get me a lower one that is a lot more convenient for my height disadvantage. I highly recommend ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 245 South Plumosa Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 245 South Plumosa Street start from $21 and can go up to $370 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
