Hi, So I had a great review at first but afterwards it was one of the most racist, evil , demeaning experiences of my life I had spoken with the owner which was Israel gave me a code I will be for front I don't get paid until the end of the month so I always pay at the end and pay the 60.00 late fee every month for like 4 months straight after the hurricane lost my car feel on hard times and I was allowed to get a couple things mind you it pouring down rain the only white woman that works in there who seems to be on something or just doesn't really like black people to tough I texted her and let her know I was outside at the unit I had already been letting with the code that Israel gave me once I was in I thought there was another lock on my unit so I text and said hey I need help with my unit I'm inside the gate but I can't unlock it but I was able to look at the unit and there was no extra lock so I was able to get inside I got inside and started gathering my things out of there or whatnot that I need it because I started back work once I got ready to leave it's pouring down raining keep that in mind it's pouring down I put in the code that Israel gave me It wasn't working I kept trying it wasn't working so then I called to the front office when she was in there and I told her I was outside she said I didn't see you on the camera I said well I text you that I was out here cuz I thought there was extra lock on the door but there wasn't so I didn't need you anymore so I don't see how you couldn't see she said well I didn't see you on the camera so how did you get in I said what the code she said what cold I said with the cold mind you is still pouring down raining so she's trying to argue with me about it and insinuate that I broke in after that I didn't go back up there I went back up there one time after I paid again and got all of my things just about out of there I have been asking her for the last 2 months to move into the new unit that's smaller and charges less because I was being charged almost $300 for unit that I only had a dryer a bottom piece of a bed and a piece of a couch That's all that was in there so I asked her much prior to move out of that unit she said I would have to pay the $300 plus the first month of that rent of the new unit which I knew wasn't true because my sister rents at the same storage facility so she just kept giving me a hard time so eventually I fell back fell behind on payment and she calls me and says oh would you like to get your stuff out of the unit we can settle it out for $250 but by then it had been 2 months of me not paying because I told her I wasn't going to stress myself about trying to pay something and I'm being treated nasty and it's just too much stress once I told her I wasn't going to worry about it anymore I didn't care what happened to the stuff anymore cuz I got everything I wanted she got highly upset with me and I don't see how when I have been trying to work with her and she just kept trying to make it seem like I was trying to be slick or I was lying or I was doing something that I wasn't supposed to be so I just cut all ties I ended up still owing them right now due to her doing all of this so I would not recommend this place if you are of any color they will play with your money she likes to take money under the table does little slicks little stuff makes little weird comments and I would not ever recommend this place if you want to keep your stuff safe and not have mold and rust and rats and whatever else on your things because they do not ensure that your things will be safe nor will they stay in the same condition and all of the places are made out of like steel that rust so your stuff ends up getting like lime rust on it and it just goes bad. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Zone - 6299 Powers Avenue include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 220 to 1,400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Zone - 6299 Powers Avenue start from $225 and can go up to $1,225 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
