Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 851 Knights Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Ms. April helped me out on 2 separate occasions, and I am writing to make sure that those in Public Storage upper management are aware that they have a superstar as an employee. She is patient, diligent and very understanding. She goes above and beyond for customers and I personally observed her being super helpful to a gentleman who was ahead of me in line-- before she even got to me. She is very knowledgeable and can answer any questions thrown at her, without having to repeat the tired phrase "call customer service!" Her recommendations have helped me save $$ on my monthly bill (what is probably THE MOST IMPORTANT to any PS customer), and she should be recognized duly by management for her selfless efforts! ... Public Storage are dishonest . My contract states $53 per month for 5'x10'8' upstairs. Suddenly they charge $80 and claim that clause 2.2 provides that they can change the monthly rent. However they did not notify me and I did not receive any certified mail to this effect. This is dishonest and I am very disappointed and will be suing. If this is my experience rest assure other clients are getting the same treatment. Lots of other companies provide the same space for half the price. Honesty and transparency with clients go a long way. You have lost me as a client for life! ... Read more

I was really frustrated after searching and searching because all the storage places were way too expensive. Then I found this one, and from the very first call, they offered real promotions — not like those places that change the deal when you show up. April helped me from the start and was super kind. Everything went smoothly the first day, but the space didn’t work for me, and April helped me again to find one that fit my needs perfectly. Great service and excellent customer care! ... Read more

April was very thorough with explaining every detail. She even transferred me to a better unit of my liking when the unit I got online wasn’t gonna work for me. She kept my interests as a priority rather than the interests of the company. She deserves recognition. I would recommend coming here. ... Read more

Troy was provided fantastic customer service. I made an online reservation and Troy called for the follow up. He answered every single question I had, Provided me with several options to choose from, and even gave specific detail on how I could measure from home how big the unit is and how it may accommodate my items. I decided to drop by the facility the day before moving in just so I could lay eyes on the unit and Troy was the same person at the desk with whom I'd previously spoken. He Was able to change my move-in date to That same day so that I could view the unit and get my lock. Troy is highly professional and informative improvise ex exemplary customer service. I would definitely refer others because of the great customer experience he provided. ... Read more

My father rented a unit at this location and within 3 months they took action to terminate the lease because they said he was spending too much time at the unit he rented, implying that he was trying to live there during the day (who does that) according to my dad he was there trying to organize a hasty move-in of his belongings. The storage is a drive up unit without air conditioning so it's very hot and not a place anyone would enjoy inhabiting. I personally visited the location and found his unit packed wall to wall with zero space for a person to try to inhabit . The accuser, a man named Troy said in a report that the door was half closed implying that my father was trying to obscure view of the unit. My father showed me that the door had been open high enough for him to pass under it without restriction which means that a 5 foot 7 inch man could walk under the opening which means the door was open at least 2/3 it's capacity which a reasonable individual would observe as mostly open and that would lead a reasonable person to think the agent for public storage has lied . Troy also remarked that upon asking my father to come out of the unit that my father appeared in shorts with no shoes on. First, I can attest that my father does not own any shorts. He only wears pants. Second, he has a condition which by removing his shoes periodically relieves the swelling to his feet. I read the rental agreement and saw no provision that dictates how a person should be dressed while on property. They also made mention that my father brought his French bulldog on the property which is a violation due to their posting in the office of " no dogs allowed" and I suggest that a Frenchie is no dog at all, certainly no threat to person or property except by licking. When I visited the property I noticed rat droppings in several areas of the unit and told my dad that he should leave the unit immediately and file a claim with the storage insurance (orange door storage insurance owned entirely by public storage) for vermin damage as the threat of hantevirus is a real and lethal disease carried by rats and he could become very ill. The storage insurance allows $2500 (plus additional expenses related to relocation and disposal of contaminated items) caused by vermin damage. Rats are not like other animals, as they do not pick a spot to dedicate or urinate but rather "go on the move" which means there can be rat urine anywhere in the unit, other units, the grounds surrounding the unit, the facility, etc. The urine is the real danger as micro particles become airborne and are then breathed in by humans and if the rat carries hantevirus the prognosis for the patient is possibly fatal without much warning. The symptoms include fever, muscle aches, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, and left unnoticed eventually death. This is a serious threat to the public, and public storage is very aware of that threat yet they still use those black bait stations along the ground of the facility ( I found a total of FOUR along the longest lane of this facility, approx 75 units on either side) and the worst part is that the rats don't even run along the path on the ground! No, they use the long beams I side the building which gives them a clear shot at every single unit in each building and there are at least 3 of these bea.s per building and public storage makes no attempt to bait those beams because that would mean they have to enter a unit to do so. I do not understand why public storage wants to restrict the amount of time a person spends at their unit, citing loitering on the rental agreement when a person pays for that unit and there are no guidelines noticed by public storage outlining task time limits. (How much time it takes to get a box from the rear of a packed unit) which I'm sure has many variables such as disability, age, energy level, physical fitness, etc .. yet Florida law now allows the rental agreement to dictate as law, allowing storage owners broad advantage over the paying customer in legal ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 851 Knights Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 40 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 851 Knights Road start from $73 and can go up to $294 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
