This establishment is poorly managed. I rented a unit and shortly after moving in, I discovered a dead rat inside my space. Occasionally, rats can be seen running around the premises. I had been paying my rent on time until one month when I made a late payment, incurring two fees that increased my balance to nearly $300. After losing my job, I received a notice stating that my unit would be auctioned off. Despite my attempts to contact them, no one responded to my calls or emails, in which I informed them of my intention to make a payment on the 29th. Unfortunately, they proceeded to sell my unit on the 28th, just one day before I was scheduled to make the payment. As a result, I lost all of my personal belongings, including memories items and important possessions such as my laptop, my kids documents . I strongly advise against renting from this establishment and recommend exploring alternative options. ?? ... Read more

I rent a storage there and the place was terrible the same day I called to cancel, and they just canceled 2 days after. They discount the hole amount to my account and I didn’t used no days. So until now I’m waiting for the refund, almost 20 days later. Terrible I do not recommend. ... Read more

I would recommend anyone get a unit inside, I needed a larger unit and got one outside. There was a leak in the roof, my items were damaged and I was so stressed that I didn’t even bother filing a claim. Outside unit will have rats so be very careful and be sure to double check you don’t leave any food. The staff there is extremely friendly. The one thing I was bothered about, I didn’t know prior, that they will raise your rates almost every month. It becomes unbearable if you’re on a tight budget. I’m glad I eventually was able to move completely out. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1480 NW 23rd Avenue include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1480 NW 23rd Avenue start from $31 and can go up to $393 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
