Pepe V. - 14 February 2026
My storage unit has a roll-up door with drive up access,. The unit is not climate controlled or well venilated,. But it is dry. I now pay $140 a month - started as $58. But I stopped trying to reach anyone to address this or downsize my unit. The office is locked and vacant - staff is unavailable whenever I've tried to make contact with the officeon property - which is especially irratating when i go specifically durring designated, posted busines hours,. And no one answers the phone when I've called the contact number on the door. So they have never been available when I needed something but I have been harassed twice by an employee- who repremanded me from the golf - informing me " they don't allow you to work on your bike here",. Loved that: "They" - excuse me honey,. But You are -They- you're being paid by them, so don't act like you have nothing to do with the policy,. Which I abide by and was at those moments,. One time I was pumping air to my tire,. The other time I was tying things into the back basket of my bike,. "They don't allow that" LOL !!! Then of course you get the automated question: "How was your recent visit to Public Storage?" You don't really want to know,. So stop texting me to ask. You just want to let me know that "You're Aware if my presence" and I better not be leaving a minute after schedual,. Cause you (you're AI) is watching me - like I said employees wouldn't care if you were laying dead outside your unit -- "Hey - "they" don't allow you to sleep here" . ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 5850 NW 9th Avenue include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 16 to 230 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 5850 NW 9th Avenue start from $18 and can go up to $276 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
