This place is terrible. Do not come here. I had all of my stuff ruined. They put me in a smaller unit on the side where there’s no AC and they’re charging me the same price for this as I had for a unit twice as big when I moved in Not to mention, I lost half of my shit and every time I walk in here there are more units with water underneath them and bugs all around. Terrible terrible place. I don’t know how they get away with renting units when they know there’s some sort of leaking problem from wherever it’s coming from There should be a class action lawsuit. I can’t get out of here quick enough. And let me add that if you need to use the restroom while you’re here that’s not gonna happen. I had to walk a mile to find some place that I could use the restroom while my stuff was sitting in water because they keep the restrooms locked so you can find somebody that works here if you can to unlock them Like your in kindergarten. How is this place even still open and then I got an email saying they were going to report me for illegal dumping because I left a bag of trash outside of my unit saying that this is a storage unit not the trash facility however it’s their neglect that caused my stuff to have to be thrown away because it’s got nasty rotten sewer water all over everything. The smell is horrific and make sure you take a picture of every single thing you put in here because insurance is not going to take care of you well enough if you don’t have the proper pictures. There are floods following my unit Palmetto bugs everywhere the ceilings are wide open in every unit so if there’s a problem in one unit, it will be in your unit too. Ridiculous! ... Read more

You can never get a hold of anybody. If you pay your storage up to date you can't get your stuff when you want to because all the sudden their system goes down. The price gets jacked up between $30 to $60. Management thinks its funny when their system is down and you can't get access to belongings. This is with payments made on time. Hard to cancel the unit when the unit is no longer needed. Very upset with this whole situation ... Read more

I have a sewer smelling leak in my unit that has damaged a lot of expensive belongings. I need someone to get ahold of me because I cannot get ahold of yous!!!!! I have been trying for days. Even when I moved in- I spoke with a very nice lady on phone after I reserved 2 units because I wanted to see them first- Upon arrival to the Bradenton 301 storage facility noone was there nor could you get into an office anyway because the doors were locked and an access code was needed. I called the number and after 20 mins someone answered that sounded like it was a call center in another country and all I could do was decide which unit based on a guess so I went with the largest. I got the unit over the phone and a temp access code to be able to unload the uhaul. I walked the entire place looking for my unit and I couldn't find it. It apparently is in a almost hidden area that you wouldn't think was accessible to the public. Anyhow, When we got in- I had paid some people to help me- one is actually a FL state inspector and she noticed that there was a leak. I actually found a man walking around with another that was doing some sort of inspections of the units who showed us where the unit was ( Ill also add I got trapped inside because the doors wouldnt work but I found a button up on corner of the glass doors ) so I told him there was some issues and that also the ac was broken. He went to look and said "That's not a leak- this used to be Sears TLE- oil change area and it dried up oil" And that they would address the AC issue. I told him i had some valuable things and that I didn't want oil on it ( come to find out its sticky so idk why now) so he was nice enough to bring me a couple of cardboard boxes to lay over the areas. Fast forward to this week! We brought more things to the unit then realized that there was water on top of one of my wooden stands in the middle of the unit as well as along the wall there was a puddle of nasty foul smelling water that a Tempur-Pedic bed, adjustable base, refrigerator, clothing and linens etc were and the bed literally soaked up a bunch of the water and smells like waste!!! So now I cannot continue to move the rest of my belongings into the unit and I have contractors ready to start rebuilding my house. And I have been trying for days to get ahold of somebody so can somebody please call me check the chat bot that keeps telling me they sent my info to the unit to call me! This is costing me way more money and time than it should now and I have waited long enough. Thank you! Might I also add that for better customer service experience, address a lot of these issues and make it easier to contact somebody especially people who know that site because customer the local number just goes to a call center and they have no idea of which facilities are what! And why are the bathrooms not open to the public? ... Read more

I purchased two large units with GSI for my move from Arizona to Florida. The units had to be left empty for a month and a half prior to my arrival and when I did arrive, both of my paid units were taken by someone else and red lo ked by the business. I was initially very frustrated but figured there must had been a good reason for it. I called GSI and spoke to a gal named Laura. She was extremely pleasant and helpful with my circumstance. She was able to move me to similar units not far from my originals and made it right with my billing. Thus far, the experience with GSI has been awesome! ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Go Store It - 303 301 Boulevard West start from $17 and can go up to $233 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
