What customers are saying

Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 1900 NW 1st Court, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I am extremely disappointed with this Public Storage facility and consider their service deceptive and unprofessional. I rented a small storage unit on February 3rd of this year. In April, I decided I no longer needed the unit and called the office to ask exactly what I had to do to close out my rental. The representative told me that since I had already called, I didn’t need to do anything else except empty the unit, leave it clean, take photos, and call them once it was cleared. I specifically asked by what date I had to remove my belongings to avoid being charged for a new month, and she clearly told me I had until May 3rd. Based on this information, I took my time moving my things out, and I finished clearing the unit on May 2nd – before the date I was given. Despite that, I was suddenly billed for another month and told that I was “two days late.” In other words, they give you one date over the phone, you follow their instructions, and then they turn around and claim you missed the deadline. That is misleading, plain and simple. I spent a lot of time calling and trying to resolve this. After several conversations, I was told that they would not charge me and that everything was “taken care of.” I was under the impression the issue was finally resolved. Instead, a couple of months later I started getting calls from a collection agency, because the facility had quietly sent the account to collections without ever warning me or correcting their own mistake. I had to call them again, go through another “investigation” that dragged on, and in the end they repeated that I still had to pay for those “two extra days” – even though their own staff had originally given me the wrong date and later verbally promised not to charge me. In many years of dealing with different companies and rentals, I have rarely seen such an unorganized, disrespectful, and dishonest way of treating customers. Giving incorrect information about deadlines, promising over the phone that charges will be removed, then silently handing the account to a collection agency is absolutely unacceptable. Based on my experience, this is one of the worst storage facilities I have ever dealt with, and I strongly do not recommend using this Public Storage location. ... Read more

Christina, the CSR deserves the first star, she is a great rep and very helpful and understanding. Anthony, another CSR is also nice and helpful. The other star is for the cleanliness. Unfortunately the manager is completely the opposite. He takes any positive experience away, is illogical and outright lies. In short, he insists in charging you for a months full rent of a unit that you vacate even if it is one hour past the deadline, late being 12:01am on the 1st of the month! It gets worse…I had another renter for the unit, but they never called them back. Why? Bc the mgr had already rented it elsewhere, as evidenced by a new lock being placed on the unit mere hours after I left. (I verified with the CSR’s). What’s more, they are still after me for the full amount of rent. I had two 10x30 units. Got them the same day. I left the one bc somehow it became $100+ more expensive! How?! Now they just upped the rent again (3rd time in a year?!). Denied a rate decrease and every late charge (various reasons) I’ve asked for. Yep, I’m guilty for paying late. At a 20% of rent charge on day 6, I have to be their favorite sucker, errr customer. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1900 NW 1st Court include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1900 NW 1st Court start from $132 and can go up to $637 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
