Read some helpful reviews of Rent-A-Space at 175 Cross Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I have updated my review. The company has returned my call and the situation was handled well, thank you. Original I’ve called all week to talk to someone about a family members unit and no one answers or calls back. I will update my review, if warranted, once I can get in contact with someone to resolve the issue. ... Read more

We rented a space in the Waterford location for nearly 4 months In between moves. When we were about to leave the space on 11th of November, we requested to rent a few extra days in order to move the following weekend if it all possible. We were expecting and very willing to pay extra for prorated days, providing them more income and us more time. Bill at the front desk was kind and accommodating from start to finish. He said on the 1st, that would be fine. When I came back the young woman at the front desk Said that was absolutely not possible and that we had to move out on the 11th regardless of what I was told Or I would be charged a whole another month, which was also rising in price by almost $30 a month. Ironically, This is during a time where there were several spaces empty, and clearly not in high demand. ... Read more

Our experience so far with Rent A Space has been great! Getting the first 2 months at 75% off was a nice way to start out and handling the payment and set-up online was easy. They have climate control units as well as drive up for easy access. Insurance protection is mandatory. The unit was clean and ready to be filled. They even have locks, boxes and packing supplies available for purchase if we had needed them. Drive up access was important and they had several different size units for us to look at beforehand. We did go check out the site before renting online. The staff was great in answering questions, Francine on the phone and Alisa on site. I'd recommend this place to everyone. ?????? ... Read more

Never answer the phone. Also sent me the “wrong email” is all they said when they finally answered my email. They emailed me telling me I had 24-48 hours to move my stuff out. When they were supposed to email me with just a email saying the late fees were going up, so I’m not sure how you mess that up. Also never replied after I told them about all of the inconvenience I went through because no one would answer the phones when I called over 6 times to try and get through. Then wouldn’t answer the office phone. I had to leave work early to go make sure my stuff wasn’t being touched. I get there and see someone in the office just walking around aimlessly so just not answering the phones I guess. On top of it the rent is now being raised but I am not sure why because the units aren’t that great and the door always gets stuck. Too bad there isn’t many choices around this area because I’d leave. ... Read more

I came in looking for an affordable rental unit for a bunch of my old belongings. I recently had a baby and I just don’t have the space anymore. I spoke with a gentleman who I believe was named Nick, he had glasses on. He was so awesome and knowledgeable. He really helped me to break down how much it would all cost and if it would be suitable for me financially or not. And better yet he really put a smile on my face when he wished me a happy Mother’s Day. So glad to have people like him in this world. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Rent-A-Space - 175 Cross Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 250 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Rent-A-Space - 175 Cross Road start from $54 and can go up to $309 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
