Want the best place to store your things? Trumbull Self-Storage is just that. My mother stored her items here for a year while in between locations. This is what she had to say about her experience: "The facility is clean, the staff is friendly, and they have a variety of carriers to use. It's a great location, easy in and out. This one is the best!" ~ Phyllis C. ... Read more

I have unfortunately had two negative experiences at Trumbull self-storage unit. I gave two stars for the units, themselves. Other than that, the customer service was awful, twice. The first time I rented a storage facility here it took the manager, Jean, an hour to do my paperwork. It was unorganized, computers didn't work, and everything seemed scattered. I came back this weekend to rent ANOTHER unit thinking I would give the manager and facility another chance, figuring we all have bad days & who can rely on technology...?! Again.....epic fail. I arrived during a "community tag sale" event and could not get access to my unit. While waiting for the 3pm deadline for people to clean their belongings up at the tag sale (which it took people until after 4pm to leave), I wanted to transfer my things from my small unit to a larger one. I figured I could get a NEW unit @ ~$145/mo, take advantage of the "one month free" , and eat the cost of the balance on my old unit (~$50). In the end, I would save about $100. Jean interjects (when I was dealing with another woman) and stated it was too close to 3pm (it was 2:50p); that she had been at the facility since 7am, up since 5am, and she/the facility didn't have time to do this for me....because she was "tired". All they had time for was a transfer. It was "too much paperwork". Mind you, I had already been in the office for 30 minutes. I begrudgingly just let them charge my credit card to avoid further aggravation. As my family owns three businesses, it's customer first. I was in the office well before close, therefore they should go above and beyond as do a new contract, that would have taken 10 minutes, as I am a paying customer with a clean history at their facility. Also, it was not my fault the ladies were "tired"- the facility chose to have a tag sale, I do not think they were forced to be there. If a person walks in their door 1 minute before close, it is their duty as a good business to help the person, no matter what the need may be. I am extremely disappointed in the service at Trumbull self storage. The facility itself serves its purpose and I have had no issues with it. ... Read more

My storage needs were met and beyond at Trumbull Self-Storage. It took me one trip there to get a unit (my choice to visit you can do it on-line too) and their generous access hours made it very reasonable to move everything in and out. The facility is clean, carts and dollies always available along with locks and boxes too. The people I dealt with either live or on the phone were knowledgable and helpful. I can't say enough good things about this business. It is well run ... the way things used to be. I highly recommend this location for anyone with stroage needs. ... Read more

I can't say enough nice things about the owners/operators at Trumbull Self Storage. The process of obtaining a unit was quick and easy, they were helpful and happy to answer any questions I had, and were also happy to help me out with an insurance claim. During a rain storm, water leaked into my unit damaging my property; Jean called to notify me that there was water outside my unit, and after I noted the damage, she helped to corroborate the story for insurance purposes. Great location, easy access with a door you can pull a truck into for loading/unloading, and a secure building. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Trumbull Self Storage - 245 Spring Hill Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Trumbull Self Storage - 245 Spring Hill Road start from $65 and can go up to $330 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
