This Top Value Storage is great on all counts. Sharmayne is friendly, efficient and always a step ahead in making sure the operation runs smoothly. Storage unit is nice ???? however charging on the 1st of the month when people have mortgage and rent due is not cool at all I have been to other storage facilities that allow you to change your due dates to be more accommodating for the customers but if you rent from here you only get a 5 day grace period before you get a late fee I rather continue to pay $125 for my garage with a late fee of $25 after the 10th day of the month not within 5 days of the beginning of the month if you can afford then by all means rent here but if it conflicts with your bigger bills please don’t waste your time look for a place that allows you more grace period and is willing to work with you on your needs cause this place is definitely not helping at all as they say (The due date is the same for everyone and it cannot be changed) lol but the owner who doesn’t live here can change it at any time though smh anything for greed! ... I'm a Real Estate Agent and I stage homes that I list. I sometimes need storage for my overflow items.. I love this place for many reasons. The ease of entering a secured area, to be able to pull in with my trailer attached and maneuver works. Unload and reload directly in front of my storage space is perfect. If other people are driving in the area - there is always plenty of room. This is a secured place not just because of the gate- there is also an office that is occupied with staff - so again, safe! When I need to vacate, there is never a problem and billing is easy as they email me. My continued storage facility.. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Top Value Storage - 1511 Saybrook Road include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
