We found it easy to find what we needed on the website. When we went into the store to ask a few questions management was very professional and answered all the questions we had. The facility was actually in a great location right down the street from my cousins apartment! ... Read more

I was moving to town and brought my stuff down to this storage unit first. It was clean and very convenient to get in and to my unit! My only issue was that my things were there for only a week, but my boxes and items were covered in so much dirt, dugs, bugs, etc in such a short amount of time. Some of my items also had signs of minor water damage (there was some rain/storms during the week there) so that was disheartening. Luckily the boxes our electronics were in held up alright. I liked the app and communication, I would still definitely pick Prime Storage again if I ever needed anything. ... Read more

When i first arrived at prime storage i needed a storage unitwhich wasent very big. It was i believe 8 x5 something around that size big enough to fit my motorcycle, it started off fine paying 126 for the unit. In la si month period i experienced a rent increase that went up to 149 and finally in may up to 180. This to me was totally unacceptable for that size a unit. For this prime gets N F for management and customer attention and 1 star for overall satisfaction. They prefer money over a good paying customer. For a unit that small 180 is too much money. I always believe in second chances so i have prime a second opportunity. And i must say they came through wonderfully, the staff is very professional and courteous i got the unit i needed a 10x10 and was very satisfied. I usually look for a storage towards the winter time to store my bikes and i do plan on returning. I highly recommend Prime. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Prime Storage (CT05) - 625 Main Street include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
