Read some helpful reviews of Tucson Lock Storage at 1830 North 7th Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I highly recommend this storage location. The manager, Janet, is clearly very knowledgeable about the facility's operations and policies. She took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly, ensuring I had the perfect unit for my needs. Janet's caring attitude and helpful demeanor transformed what can often be a chore into a genuinely positive interaction. It's also clear she takes pride in her work, as the entire property is spotlessly clean and well-maintained. ... Read more

I called to inquire about a storage unit and Janet was very informative, Kind, and transparent about everything. I look forward to renting soon! If you don't want to get sent to a call center and want to directly reach the office press 2 it was hard to get someone at the actual location until I fully listened to the prompt! ... Read more

They rents to tons of homeless people- you see there stuff all over the place. Not safe to keep your belongings. Who wants to see that? I been there and seen people sleeping in the units during the daytimes and leaving before the gate closes at 7. Outside dumpster always open and I see people dumpster diving. Don't get locked inside after hours- there is no fire exit or emergency release. I once got stuck and had to wait for the police department to come- which took 3 hours of sitting in my car. Avoid avoid avoid. ... Read more

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Tucson Lock and Storage was bad enough that I feel like I have to warn others. The so-called "manager" was not only completely unhelpful, but managed to be condescending on top of it. I asked if we could use a back door to make accessing our storage unit easier (instead of wrestling a dolly around sharp corners and up some stairs), and she flat-out refused. She claimed the door was "emergency use only," even though we had used it just fine three months earlier when moving in. The cherry on top was her attitude — she ended our conversation with a sarcastic "Have a nice day" that clearly meant the opposite. I honestly don't think I've ever left a business feeling more unwelcome. As for the storage unit itself, it's advertised as climate controlled, but that's a joke. Two weeks ago when we came by to get some things, it was well over 100 degrees inside. When we came back to empty it completely, it was still at least 95. When I brought this up, the manager just shrugged and said, "Well, this is Arizona." That's not just unprofessional, it's basically admitting they don't care at all about what they're promising. To make things worse, the place was stuffy, smelled weird, and was full of rodent traps and dead cockroaches. Not exactly the environment you want for your belongings. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If you're looking for a place to store your stuff and expect even basic customer service or honesty about the conditions, save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere. ... Read more

I found the experience here perfect. The unit was easy to rent and the space was clean. I didn’t realize that my unit was above another unit, but that wasn’t an issue at all. They have the wide step ladders in all the storage areas to use for this purpose. Worked great! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Tucson Lock Storage - 1830 North 7th Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
