Went there for an auction, the people were great and informative, locks were already cut and they knew exactly what was in each unit. I'm use to the auctioneers cutting the locks and everyone seeing the unit for the first time. ... Read more

Reserved a unit and made an appointment to come sign the paperwork. Waited 40 minutes past the arranged time for anyone to show up. Then, when it came time to sign the paperwork they had the wrong sized unit reserved, and said it was the only one available. When I went to the unit it was still locked, upon having her open it we discovered there was still items inside from the previous tenant. Also requested automatic payment every month, and gave them my card information. Received a call three months later saying the worker never marked me down as automatic payment and that I owed them $350. Apparently that worker “forgets to mark the automatic payment option 99% of the time”. All of this during a pandemic when people aren’t getting paid/being laid off? Pretty remarkable. ... Read more

In my book it's rather hard to get a 5-star review on a #SelfStorage facility, but #SabinoCanyon Self-Storage actually hits the mark. It's clean, safe, and the staff are friendly and reasonable. I highly recommend them to anyone in #Tucson wishing to store: #RVs, #furniture, #vehichles, or random boxes. ... Read more

Terrible customer service. We moved from out of town to Tucson and reserved a storage unit in advance, using their online services. Not only did we receive a confirmation stating the storage unit was reserved but we also received a reminder message the day before, stating it was time to move our belongings in. We also called ahead to double check their business hours /arrival time and showed up that morning to find the lady who we spoke to (the owner) and her husband were leaving for a "meeting" in 30 min and couldn't assist us. AFTER WE DOUBLE CHECKED THEIR BUSINESS HOURS. We had to wait 2 hours before they returned. And when they finally came back they stated our unit was never reserved. The online system they had was dysfunctional and they would not accommodate us in any way. They were only able to give us what they had available either a smaller unit or a larger unit with no compensation. This was After we drove 4+ hours with two children and a dog and waited an additional 2 hours for them to have a meeting before they could assist us. The lady was not at all apologetic and the man stayed quiet in the background. TERRIBLE SERVICE. And put us in an awful position as we had to call around and find another storage unit and add extra miles into our budget for the moving truck. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Sabino Canyon Self Storage - 4819 North Sabino Canyon Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
