Read some helpful reviews of A Family Storage at 1901 North Oracle Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

The actual storage experience was fine. I had no problems other than locking and unlocking my unit. I found it impossible to line up my latch/lock to get my lock on. I had no idea you could simply step on the door handle and everything would line up nicely. I found that out one day when I was struggling with it, and an employee rode by on his golf cart. I asked him for help and he stopped and showed me. He didn’t seem very friendly that day and I definitely felt like I was bothering him with my seemingly “stupid” question. I wondered if this was actually the person who rented me the space, because he had been nice and respectful. This person was not. I knew I rented from a Cary, and remembered thinking how nice and friendly he was. It had been several years and perhaps it wasn’t the same person. Perhaps this person was simply having a bad day. Life went on. Some time passed and one day I was there again and had a problem. I ran into the same guy and mentioned my situation. I was treated with total and complete disrespect. I did not ask him to help me. I told him my situation. He told me “good luck” and walked away. I asked him if his name was Cory. He corrected me and said it was Cary. Yep. Same person with a complete personality change. I did have several other interactions over the phone and by email over the years with whom I assumed was him. Those all went fine. He even noticed once that my door was not properly latched and locked, and called to alert me to that situation. (I told you I had an issue getting the latch lined up!) I greatly appreciated that. I only had to deal with him face to face three times. The first time, when he wanted my business, he couldn’t have been nicer. I can’t say the same about the other two times. So, the storage itself went well. Interacting with the manager/owner/whoever he was, left much to be desired. ... Read more

I have used A family storage multiple times over the years. I have always been very satisfied with the facilities and the staff. And even though they will occasionally raise prices, they do not attempt to gouge you and constantly raise prices like most other storage places. I also really like that they have staff who lives on site and is responsible for taking care of the place. ... Read more

After multiple years renting a unit with A Family Storage they have been raising prices each year. This year the price jumped from $170 dollars a month to $220. $50 dollar rise in one month. In October 1st I removed my belongings from my unit. My belongings 2 beautiful lazy boy leather sofas and recliners. Mattresses and other personal belongings were devastated by rats. The smell was disgusting. Rat droppings and urine were every where. I was forced to expose of the contaminated furniture. After examining the unit I noticed two holes on the sides of the doors. Clearly visible holes where the rats were getting in. The rubber had been eaten away. Do not use A Family Storage. The management clearly neglected and failed to Maintain my unit. ... Read more

Great place to store things- definitely not a good place to store your a family- trust me, it did not go over well. I saw a guy show up with a huge pick up truck with a single wooden dining room chair in the back. He opened his unit, which was flex to the brim in obviously really important things, and then proceeded to stuff the chair in there just enough to close the door. The bathrooms were locked, so I couldn't evaluate them. In hindsight they were probably something clever like 1234 or 2468. I'll have to come back to try again. I'll keep y'all posted. ... Read more

I want to commend Cary on his exceptional service. I was clearing out my unit of unwanted stuff. Donate, recycle and disposal, an ongoing purge, hard for a hoarder like me. After I loaded up and got ready to go; I found out I had a flat tire...Damn Nail!!! Long story short, Called my Partner Milo to save me, but not much he could do. Cary did his utmost to assist us and get us on the way to Discount Tire. Cary has always acted with courtesy and professionalism, but his time he went above and beyond. Thanks again Cary. This place is great. Customer service is really service Service that's personal I feel, they are good to me. I’ve been renting a unit here for a very long time and finally moved my stuff out. The managers have changed many times over the years but they were all courteous and helpful. They have called to remind me if I ever forgot a payment and when I was hospitalized with Covid, they waived the late fee. Thank you for providing such a great service all these years ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at A Family Storage - 1901 North Oracle Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 20 to 800 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by A Family Storage - 1901 North Oracle Road start from $23 and can go up to $553 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
