Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 1737 East McKellips Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

This review is based solely on the encounters I have had with two gentlemen that work onsite that have been very helpful on many occasions. I am not happy about the constant increase in the storage units but that does not reflect on the people who maintain these facilities. Michael K. And Michael W. Are two of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of dealing with in customer service. They always treat me with such respect and listen to my needs to resolve my problems. I would have probably changed facilities by now if it wasn’t for the customer care with these two men. That goes a long way with me to know that if I have any concerns they will be handled with kindness and professionalism. Great job guys. ... Read more

Very convenient location next to freeway and offers 24 hour overnight access. The property managers are professional and hospitable. The facility is clean, and they stay on top of things and keep everything clean, organized, and secure. Access is simple, and the overall experience has been smooth and reliable. Would recommend as an ideal location ... Read more

1. This location is in a flood plain. NOT DISCLOSED. The angle is more than photo shows since filled with rainwater. 2. As such my row has severe drainage angle AND a 2" lip at entrance. Made offload (working alone) much more difficult than a level unit (like avail on other rows). Major hassle trying to brace dolley with lifting heavy stuff down to it. NOT DISCLOSED. 3. They could offer discounts on that row and plenty people will go for it. I would not as I'm working alone. 4. There were avail units on level ground. Instread of renting them first then the units with a hill (and floodwater) the mgr told me the automated system picks the units to be rented. 5. After my survey they had a mgr contact me and offer to let me move. HOW DOES GOING THRU THE HASSLE OF OFFLOADING ON A HILL NOW INSTEAD OF WHEN I MOVE OUT HELP? INSTEAD I'D HAVE TOP RENT A TRAILER, DO AN ADDITIONAL LOAD UP AND OFFLOAD. WHY NOT OFFER ME A FREE MONTH! TRUST ME I'D RATHER PAY AND HAVE BEEN PUT IN A LEVEL UNIT WITHOUT FLOOD WATER IN FRONT. 6. At least the managers are helpful and nice guys. ... Read more

Storage facility itself is fine and the gentleman that works there is nice. Office smells like a basement full of cats. Odor of cat urine is pretty bad. Been renting from these guys almost 8 months now and my rent has only gone up every couple months. I moved in at 110$ base rent and am now at 249$ (this is a 10×20) if you look online there 10x20 currently rent for 160$ in person rental and 90$ if you reserve it online. When they notify me about my rent increase the reasoning is that is what the average for the area is and what the demand calls for. I will resign for the new price and move my stuff over and over again until they give me the rent they claim to offer. ... Read more

I called to get more information and to ensure there is actually no contract/obligation on the $1 units. Marisol was by far one of the rudest people ever. She was very dismissive and talked to me like I didn’t know what I was talking about. I called for a simple question that did not require attitude or off putting behavior. It seemed like it was an inconvenience I called and as if she was too busy to deal with questions. Now I have to call other public storage locations so I can hopefully get my answer once and for all. EDIT: Just talked to the McDowell Rd location and wow… what a difference! They were so kind and helpful. That location might be a bit further but due to their kindness, I rather go with them so I know the people helping me actually want to help and will do it with a positive attitude. ... Read more

I’ve lived in the valley off and on for 25 years and had more storage units than I can even count from very high end large complexes to the Ma & Pa 10 unit facility. And the public storage on McKellips is by far the best facility with fair prices awesome security, and overall very clean and professional. All the staff there is amazing and extremely accommodating to every need I’ve had especially the manager Michael! Not only is he an awesome manager, but also a very kind, reasonable, and down to earth person. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a short or long-term storage place from the college student in between dorms to the small business owner needing an extra place to store his equipment. Thanks again Michael and team for making the last year that we’ve been doing business very enjoyable and stress-free(They have a bunch of cameras, gated entry keypad entrance, and also an amazing app that is ahead of its time!) 5 out of 5 stars and then some! ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1737 East McKellips Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1737 East McKellips Road start from $30 and can go up to $261 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
