I've rented here for years. I took my items out of my unit and talked to their customer service to let them know I was coming back to sleep up. He assured me I could do that and could access the unit until the end of the month. A week later I drove 125 miles to clean up the unit but they had already closed my account. There is no one manning the office. Everything is done by phone. Customer service sucks. I'll never rent from them again. ... Read more

after receiving a call back from the onsite PS manager I would give the rating a zero star if possible. I had reserved a covered spot for my brand new RV in what was advertised as a paved lot. However this section of the property is gravel, with a significant swale in front of it. I advised the PM I did not want to park my brand new RV on gravel or in a swale and his response was "take it easy" and hung up on me. The fact I called out the misleading advertising apparently struck a nerve. And no offer to refund my first months payment. this is why you don't see pictures of this area on their website. ... DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE COMPANY!!! They take ZERO accountability for their mistakes! On 9/8 I called to get storage rates and they sounded great so I signed up for on which i was told was climate controlled. I paid $51.xx which was $29 non refundable initial charge and $21 lock fee. When I was looking up the address a few days later to plan my day out I remembered having this storage about 15 years ago and I was thinking wow they must have upgraded because I didn't have a climate controlled one back. So I looked into this location deeper realized it was NOT climate controlled. A huge pain, but no big deal, I will just transfer locations. So I call them and was told it should be fairly easy...long story short they told me it was $1 move in but everytime I went to sign the FINAL contract to move in it was $123. The guy on the other line just could not seem to comprehend that $1 move in doesn't equal $123 dollar charge so I asked if I could just go to the location and handle this... he had me sign the contract FOURTEEN times (I am not exaggerating) to "fix it." So I go to the location on Gilbert and Warner and explained the situation to the lady there and while she was nice and trying to be helpful, she basically said there was nothing she could do. So I call the sales dept (since she said they were the only ones that could give me the promotion) - the woman on the other line stated that it would take a couple days for my refund to process from the other location, so it looks like I AM ALREADY a customer so I can not get the $1 move in deal UNTIL that processes. I was moving and as you know ANY ADDDITONAL charges that come your way when you're moving just typically aren't feasible so I told her I couldn't afford $123 and would need to go find another storage company. Yah I was annoyed but it is what it is... (you would think there was SOMETHING they could do since their employee gave me false info). Either way she ASSURED me I would get a full refund including the non refundable fee because the employee messed up and obviously I would be refunded the lock charge since I would NOT be renting a storage there. They refund the locks anyway once you show you have one. I went down the road and rented a public storage.... HERE IS WHERE IT GETS COMICAL. I noticed $1.52 refund on my credit card statement and then realized oh shoot they never refunded me my money for the fiasco I went through. So I call them up ..... first of all the fact I have to call to get a refund on something they should AUTOMATICALLY refund is frustrating...second of all they claim NO ONE TALKED TO ME ON THE 11th because "there are no notes" of course there aren't. I should know better and should have gotten the sales managers name but the funniest part of ALL OF THIS... the man stated they will send me a CHECK for TWENTY ONE dollars IN TWO MONTHS!!! LOL. I will flush $21 down the toilet right now at this point, it is NOT about the money...it is about the fact YOUR employee provided wrong information and you will swipe my card within seconds but when it comes to owing me MY money BACK, you will MAIL A CHECK.... IN TWO MONTHS?!?!?! I would steer clear of a company where you have to call and beg for a refund that you are OWED! When you sign the initial contract it states that you are not an actual customer UNTIL you sign the FINAL contract - so how am I being charged for a lock? Please take accountability for YOUR EMPLOYEES. ... Read more

I’m getting ready to make a big move to AZ and was searching for a place to store my belongings as im getting moved in. One of your employees, Alexandra, walked me through the process of getting settled into a unit and made it so easy for the transition process. She made me feel so comfortable and like AZ was already home. I even asked for recommendations of things to do and places to see and we chatted just like we were best friends! I gave it two stars because the phone agents were helpful and courteous when I made arrangements but I will never use the Priest Drive and Baseline location again. I'm renting two drive up storage units while I look for an apartment. They sent me two email reminders that I need to be off the property by 9pm. I was about 5 minutes late so I sent an apology reply. The second email annoyed me because my exit time was before closing time and it was stamped. Then there's this older Caucasian woman that rides her golf cart pass my storage units every time I'm there. It reminds of growing up in the south where blacks would be followed in department stores while shopping. The last time I visited Public Storage I saw her heading towards me on that golf court. I immediately slammed the gate down, locked up the unit and left. During my third visit I was encountered by the same woman and questioned about items inside my storage. I go there only when necessary and usually at 6:00 am. My things need to be reorganized but it's really uncomfortable being watched for suspicious activity. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1625 South Arizona Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Kiosk Available, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed, Keyless Unit Access, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 9 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1625 South Arizona Avenue start from $10 and can go up to $211 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
