Mr Pavan was very pleasant and patient. It was a pleasure to communicate with him. He was located in the service department. Because of Mr Pavan, I gave a 5 stars. The problem I am having is with the insurance side. They keep charging us for insurance even though we have provided them with the insurance information multiple times. ... Read more

Update 6/1/26 I have changed my rating from 1 star to 4 star because I appreciate a representative reaching out to me per owners request about my issues. We resolved my monthly rate. Other concerns have been addressed. Update: 4/30/26 A representative from the company did reach out to me via phone this week. We discussed my concerns. We came to an agreement on each of my concerns. Once the agreement is fulfilled I will be updating my rating as well. I hope to continue as a customer. I have been a customer with Southwind Storage climate controlled unit since October 2024, and I am extremely dissatisfied with the recent changes to your facility and policies. The access hours to my unit were reduced without any form of notification. As a paying customer—especially one on a monthly draft—I expect to be informed of any changes that directly impact my ability to access my belongings. Not being notified is unacceptable and unprofessional. In addition, there have been multiple rate increases. First, my insurance cost increased, and now my storage unit rate has gone up by a drastic $30 per month—again, without notice. A change of that size is significant, and failing to communicate it shows a lack of respect for your customers. These recent changes reflect a clear decline in customer service: reduced access and higher costs. From a customer perspective, it feels like more is being charged while less is being provided. If this is due to new ownership or management, it appears those costs are being passed directly onto customers without regard for satisfaction or loyalty. Decisions like reduced access hours combined with repeated price increases—especially without proper communication—are likely to drive customers away rather than improve long-term profitability. From a customer standpoint, this approach does not build trust or loyalty and is more likely to result in a decline in business rather than growth. At this point, I am seriously reconsidering continuing my business with your facility. These decisions and the lack of communication have made this a very disappointing experience. ... Read more

I have stored with this place for years, and I highly recommend it. The staff is helpful and friendly, there's no hidden fees or crazy rent increases, and the facility is clean and well maintained. They also send payment reminders BEFORE late fees hit, which are incredibly helpful. Amazing facility ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Go Store It - 201 West Woodruff Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Enclosed, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
