Debbie W. - 3 September 2025
I pay $75 for a 10' x10' unit. The facility is well-maintained and kept. It's a little steep on the entry but I've never had any trouble entering or exiting. I've never had an issue in the couple months that I've been there so far and I had a nice conversation with the neighbor one time. It's easy to pay over at the pawn shop or I think you can do it on the phone or online as well. It has enough room for two vehicles to pass each other in between the building so it should be fairly easy to drive around. The gate is always closed and works great. ... Read more

Horrible place… I have never rented a storage unit before so did not know about having the rental insurance and the facility does not offer any. They have rats that messed up my mattress, water damage messed up one of my flat screen TV, and it is a few things missing that I know for a fact was in my unit. When called about the issue I was told during the new year the apartment complex behind the facility be shooting so the rodents get in from the roof. (I have only had the unit for 4-5 months) it’s October I wasn’t even in the unit for New Years so that was a lie. Then told me they couldn’t do anything about what was damaged by the water. Then the women informed me if I wanted to rent from them again let them know. I WOULDNT DARE. I have to go get my deposit let’s see if they actually give it to me. ... Read more

We’ve used them for years, and have been pleased the whole time. We’ve moved between several different size storage sheds because we need bigger sheds and never had a problem paying for different size shed. The units are kept in good shape and repaired pretty quickly. They also repair road pots holes quickly. They close at 9pm, but you can pay a little more for 14 hr access ... Read more

I have had a unit here since the end of 2015. Anytime I have ever had a problem with the door to the unit, they have been so nice and got it fixed as quickly as they could. Very down to Earth people who treat you very well. I highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in having to store their belongings. The fact that there are cameras everywhere is what sold me on them. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at McCain Mini Storage - 3600 Highway 161 include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 3,750 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by McCain Mini Storage - 3600 Highway 161 start from $45 and can go up to $1,550 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
