DO NOT GO THROUGH SNAP BOX ON UNIVERSITY!Someone was peeing by my unit so my stuff inside smells like urine. They raised the rent twice. Now it has doubled from 114 to 217. Oh and no matter how much you call or leave voice mails you can never get anyone to pick up or reply. Terrible storage place and are clearly doing something sketchy there ... Read more

1st - There is a rat/mice infestation here. 2nd - Their call center (forget being able to EVER reach a local person) provides incorrect information on due dates. They say you have until the 3rd to pay before late fees hit, however a $30 fee hit my account by 10am on the 2nd. Another person had a similar story but they lost all access. The rate went from $28 per month to $51 per month (plus the $15 required insurance - which $300 or $500 is the payment for an infestation though I did not look extensively at the criteria for proof and policy, not to mention the mental disturbance that a village of mice have been all in and through all of your stuff, even thinner plastic bins. The sounds of their feet running through the rafters is embeded in my skin as goosebumps). What comes with this almost double in rate? They fixed the gate mostly and added a metal sign, moved the dumpster, and I saw someone in the office two of the days I was there (the only bathroom is in the office). If I would have known they were increasing, I would have stayed with my clean and non infested u h a u l unit that I had to get when Snapbox was bike locked during access hours over two days. As a student staying nearby on campus, $28 was a great price, even with the additional $15 insurance. But rats/mice, and the uncertainty of whether your stuff can be accessed - not even close to worth the mental toll. June 1, 2025: This is NOT how you do business. First the gate was wide open and now there is a padlock that has been on during business hours 2 days in a row. So I can't even access my unit and I'm running out of time. Easy and cheap to get a unit, and they go HEAVY with the moth balls, but you likely won't be able to access it when you need to. ... Read more

It’s impossible to get someone to answer the phone or catch someone in the office. They’re basically holding your stuff hostage. And watch out for their policy on what they consider “clean” when you move out. Updated to say that whoever responded to this review the same day I left it should also be in charge of responding to emails and answering calls. I am still trying to get in touch. ?? ... Read more

I find it very hard to get anyone on the phone in the local office. The person in the local offices very nice and kind and I realize that he has to be on the property to show storage spaces, however, I need to speak with someone when I need to speak with them. My issue here is that I got blocked in by trucks on my way out. See the attached picture. This scared me! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Snapbox Self Storage - 2010 South University Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Snapbox Self Storage - 2010 South University Avenue start from $22 and can go up to $106 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
