Ohh my gosh, this is the BEST self-service storage building in this area!! I thought that I was calling my old storage service and called cubesmart in Pennsylvania by mistake and I asked him if they had service in Jonesboro Arkansas and told him that I was already looking around to transfer my belongings to and he said yes and I reserved a unit and not even 5 minutes after hanging up TERRANCE called me from Jonesboro and we set up a time to meet and sign paperwork. But since I don't have a car and my ride had to change plans, we just went, not expecting to go ahead and sign but just to see where it is. So, OHH MY GOSH,WE WERE TREATED WITH RESPECT AND KINDNESS AND PROFESSIONAL STAFF!! VERY FRIENDLY PEOPLE!! ANGELA THE GENERAL MANAGER GAVE US A TOUR AND SHOWED US HOW TO LOG INTO EVERY DOOR AND GATE AND SHE HAD US GO AND TRY EVERYTHING ON OUR OWN TO MAKE SURE THAT WE WERE COMFORTABLE AND SECURE IN COMING AND GOING ALONE. SHE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR US, ESPECIALLY SINCE WE DIDN'T HAVE AN APPOINTMENT AT THAT TIME AND DAY AND ALLOWED US TO MOVE OUR APPOINTMENT TO AN EARLIER TIME AND DAY. I reluctantly rented a unit without a written guarantee that my rental price was locked in for a year. The manager assured me they rarely do increases, and if they do, it’s only a few dollars. I had not even paid my second month’s rent, and I received an email that my rate was going up $35!!! As soon as I’m able, I’ll have to pay someone to move my things to another facility. I have a storage unit here, plus I am also an employee for this location for CubeSmart. And I can honestly say that I've had a great experience on both having a storage unit here and being an employee. We rented two units at this storage facility. We had only been there a month and the retaining wall failed. The facility is brand new and the retaining wall failed flooding our unit. We NEVER got called to tell us or anything. We went buy to put a few boxes in the smaller unit and noticed the facility had all the empty units open, big fans blowing down the halls and had already started repairing the the wall but on the complete opposite side that our unit was on. The insurance you are forced to pay for does not cover this type of flooding and we lost a lot due to this. All they did to make it “right” was put us in another unit. I have tried to call the regional manager and have left 2 messages for him and to date we have still NOT heard back from him. We were never called to let us know. The unit had been flooded. They knew it was flooded because both units on either side of us were empty and their doors were open and you could see the The water puddles coming out from the back to the front of our unit. There was water even standing on the outside of the unit door. But we were never called to let us know that our stuff was sitting in water. I’m sorry, but I’m furious about that. Insurance covers water damage, but it does not cover surface water damage, which would mean the retaining wall failing isn’t covered by the insurance you have to have And we lost more monetarily than the insurance was for anyway anyways. Showing that they appreciate their customers and will take care of their customers when the property has a retaining wall failure would’ve felt nice, but we didn’t get taken care of at all. At the moment I do not recommend renting from this place. They need to go through and correct their poor Construction. And we were even told by one of the ladies that works in the office that Construction did cut corner so they weren’t surprised.
