The staff was very helpful and courteous! Unfortunately we had a rat issue. Lots of feces and we threw out some items that we contaminated. We did not have food in the unit. Also our rates increase a lot over the 5 years. ... Read more

This is the 1st time that we've used U storage! So far so good! The employee's are kind and courtesy and professional! Clean and easy access! Thanks for your hospitality! I'm retracting this statement! They will sale your unit right out from under you! Even when you try to pay them 50 bucks to give you until payday and they wouldn't accept it! My assumption is that they had already sold the unit! They're was a sunflower picture in there and it was not just a picture it was a card for my 16 yr niece that past away of cancer... it w as drawn by her art teacher and signed by all of her classmates... that's the worst part of it cause that was all we had from here! If anyone knows of a sunflower picture hand drawn with a green frame please help keep an eye out for it. Thanks and DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! ... Read more

I recently opened a new storage account online with the promotion of “first payment free,” assuming that meant the first month was free. After having the unit for just a week, I went to store some items and found a red lock on it. When I inquired, I was informed that payment is due at the first of the month and that the lock was placed for security reasons because I had not yet put my own lock on the unit. I called customer service and was told the lock could not be removed until the next day because it was after hours. When I returned two days later, the lock was still there. Since it was the weekend, no one was available to assist me. By the time I was able to go back on February 2nd, my gate code no longer worked because I hadn’t made a payment yet. Since I work during the day, I can only access my storage unit after hours, but I have been unable to receive assistance during those times. Even after making my payment online, my gate code still did not work. This situation has been incredibly frustrating, as I have been unable to use the storage unit I signed up for. I would appreciate immediate assistance in resolving this issue and ensuring that my unit remains accessible moving forward. Please let me know how this can be addressed as soon as possible. ... Quick and super easy! They were super helpful over the phone. The only complaint is I set up my contract online and was told I get a free month and would only have to pay for $13 for the month of January. I went in person to sign my papers but they charged me $118. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at U Storage - 2850 Prince Street include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Parking, Keyless Unit Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by U Storage - 2850 Prince Street start from $45 and can go up to $162 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
