I had previously left a good review of this facility. I had stored here for over 5+ years and was happy with the old managers and prices. The owners have hired a manager now that doesn't seem to have the same customer service philosophy. I moved out of this facility because suddenly there was a discrepancy in my rental fees after being a loyal customer for several years. Every time I tried to speak with the manager, I was told she would discuss it with the owner and get back to me. She never would get back with me. I'm got mad and moved out. Funny thing is that I moved 3 large storage units by myself over 4 days. I moved 14 truck and open trailer loads over 4 days. When I went to tell the manager that I had moved out, she was totally surprised. This is a manager that lives at the location. I drove each of the 14 loads out the gate right by the office and her apartment. If she didn't notice a long time customer moving that much stuff out, imagine how attentive she will be when a thief comes in and moves things they steal. There has also been more theft here in the last year than combined over the many previous years. Good news is that I need to encourage you to not store your stuff here. Even though the rates are low, you get what you pay for in the long run. Store somewhere else to get the professionalism and security your money purchases. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Carmichael Mini Storage - 4225 Carmichael Road include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
