This place was good until move out. Apparently this place requires a 2 week writen notice to move out which is weird for storage units, but even worse is this place doesn't have any on site person to hand that notice in to since it's automated. Then I was also told even though I moved out 3/26 I would be charged for the entire month of April which is illegal to charge me anything more then the notice period. Any other storage unit place prorate you money back based on your day you move out. This place has very crooked business practices best to avoid this place. ... Read more

I especially liked the payment kiosk in Palmer. If I need future storage service, I will absolutely return to Alaska Automated Storage. Highly recommend. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Alaska Automated Storage - 301 East Outer Springer Loop include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Alaska Automated Storage - 301 East Outer Springer Loop start from $47 and can go up to $316 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
