I've lived here a few years dealing with the corporate landlord, Dominium. This company receives substantial government subsidies and calls this "affordable housing". It is not. Saint Paul citizens voted for a rental control measure, but this greedy company self-filed for an exception and got it. Expect 8%+ increases per year. Some were even charged a 15% increase. Additionally, for a non-smoking property, there are a lot of smokers in this building. The stairwells, hallways - especially the first floor, and elevators reek of cigarette smoke. The current property manager is a smoker herself, so I do not expect the odor to improve. The property was built on the cheap and is not aging well. The state of MN is investigating the landlord regarding their relationship with 3rd party utility billing companies. There is a class action suit pending regarding the corporation double dipping - getting money from the government for the parking garage and also charging the residents to park. Corporate corruption and greed - Murica, amiright? So, if you smoke or like the smell, have plenty of money to pay the rent increases and questionable utility bills, don't mind multiple inspections every year with little notice, and love sirens and parking lot drama, this place is for you. If not, my only advice is to run.

I've just moved here and so far, I'm very impressed with the cleanliness of the building and the friendly neighbors. I love how quiet it is in my unit and how soundproof it is as well. All who have come to visit my apartment love the layout and all the spacious closet space that this unit has. I have had several people inquire on how they can move here, hopefully they will succeed.

I love it here! The Cambric is centrally located on the East Side. It is easy to get to the freeway or downtown. It is a great location.

This is not my house. It is my home. My neighbors are friendly and helpful. I stopped outside my apartment door one day. I was tired. I wanted to catch my breath before going in the door. My neighbor ask "do you need help? Can I help". It made me smile. The management staff are polite and helpful. Jerry is the good guy He can fix anything. Just complete a work order. Jerry completes the work. Joan is the bad guy. Not really! She is the one with the answers to all your questions. The answer is not always 'yes'. This is my home. I love it here.

The furnace wasn't working properly. It was -11 degrees outside. The maintenance man had tried to fix the problem for two days. He never gave up. He tried everything he could. Traditional fixes were not working. He tried non traditional. It worked. After three days of trying..it worked! In the meantime He had brought me room heaters. I was never cold. I remember this like it was yesterday because he cared. I see him and he speaks. I speak back because I know he cares. He doesn't just care for me as a tenant. He cares about how he does his job. At the Cambric Apartments maintenance is outstanding. Management is excellent. I love living here.
