great space to live

This is an amazing apartment and artist community. The apartments are spacious, comfortable and thoughtfully designed. CHI did a good job of keeping the integrity of the school intact while also creating beautiful living spaces, I am lucky to have the original oak book & supply cupboards for storage. In suite laundry, free WiFi and a studio just down the hallway is definitely a plus. Only negatives I have are: The shared studios are rather small and limiting. The management is pretty restrictive as to the media and equipment allowed; no kilns or torches. I would be leery to use media that is solvent dependent as the ventilation is definitely not adequate. Utilities are pretty decent but winter in a concrete building with large window means pretty high utilities. We do not have access to the gym which would make a great venue for shows both visual and performance based. Could become a meeting hub for creatives. But alas...it remains locked and unused.
