Nashville’s average rent reached $1,399 in December, after a 2.1% decrease since last year. One of Tennessee’s largest job hubs, with a renter household share of 46%, Nashville is a desirable place to live and work in, with apartment prices below the national average of $1,462.

The average rent for an apartment in Nashville saw a smaller decrease compared to Franklin ($1,443), where prices went down by 4.5% since last year. On the other hand, in Murfreesboro ($1,183), rent went up by 2.2%.
